@JessGrose My take: we too often see parenting issues as good/bad, all/nothing. It is so much easier to tell ourselves “I’m awesome for getting 100 minutes of exercise this week” than for us to tell ourselves “I can feel great about breastfeeding for 2 months or 9 months”

@JessGrose I find it so fascinating that “but women will feel judged” is the reaction to any breastfeeding recommendation. When HHS recommends 150 minutes of exercise/week no one said “but so many people will feel judged so we shouldn’t recommend that.” Why do we feel so threatened?
