Every teacher needs to know how reading actually works. The Science of Reading gives us clear evidence about phonemic awareness, decoding, language comprehension and the importance of systematic, explicit instruction. It shows why some children struggle and what genuinely helps them succeed. Yet many teacher education programmes barely touch this knowledge and it is still rarely discussed in schools. Every teacher should understand the reading process and how to support children at every stage. This is foundational professional knowledge, not an optional extra.
Whether you're a teacher, health worker, protection officer, driver, advocate or emergency responder, every role matters in making a difference.

Why read books? Because books are still the most powerful, reliable, transportive & magical storytelling technology we've invented - and all they need to work is YOUR OWN IMAGINATION! #books
