@yourtvsaid Welcome to the family! I’m in a very similar boat. Got dxd last year and still digesting what it means. Suddenly my “quirky” ways make more sense! It’s been great talking to others who get the challenges and also chuckle about the ridiculous situations our ADHD can lead us into
When I was diagnosed as dyslexic 30 odd years ago the notes about my working memory, problems focusing etc could have been from and ADHD text book, but because they were only looking for dyslexia that was all they found.
#askadhd I want get my kids an ADHD assessment. I got my own dx recently & we share many common ADHD traits. 1. are there any downsides to getting a dx aged 7? 2. The best route to take (in uk) my NHS experience was not good. 3 they aren’t failing at school is a dx even possible
@SparklyB@dreamsofskies@ChronicallyAP Every email I’ve ever written:
20 lines of incoherent stream of consciousness babble… does that make sense? .. kind regards etc etc
@JayR_Xx Disorganisation, hyper focus (who else be adhder would go down the rabbit hole & write a monograph upon 243 types of tobacco ash) periods of complete lethargy then manic energy, self medication on stimulants. I really feel Watson should have given him a dx
@ADHD_Marie Are you taking ADHD meds and do they make it worse? I’m finding I can’t do any exercise on mine without my heart rate going through the roof. Although I’ve not passed out from standing up too suddenly either since taking them which is nice.
