Spamming decomp/recomp for shit we don’t need or that we already have highly-configurable mod support for is so stupidly wasteful it makes me want to scream. We are currently in the “fucking around” phase and we’re not ready for the “finding out” hangover.
My line in the sand with AI decomps/recomps/native ports? If you’re going to just ignore everyone begging you not to do it and just blunder ahead anyways, please for the love of god do your due diligence, it takes 5 minutes to use Google and see if a finished one already exists.
In the last 24 hours I’ve seen
Sonic CD port (native retro engine ports with mods have existed for. 2+ years)
5 different Windwaker/Windwaker HD projects which all do the same thing
5 different bloodborne pc projects
Spamming decomp is one thing
Oh btw I am working with the Brawlback team guys this isn't my own thing, I just took a part of the snapshot system and alongside the rest of the team we managed to make it work with real time performance
Honestly anyone who calls this soulless or makes deriding (and often wildly factually inaccurate) comments about their use of AI is going to miss out. Looks more fun and creative than most AAA games coming out
Beautiful Brazil. Whether it's the breathtaking coastlines, the vibrant and energetic culture, or the delicious coffee, there's something here for everyone! Enjoy the spectacular scenery of Brazil when Crazy Taxi: World Tour hits the streets in 2027!

@skate Go fuck yourselves.
“Sandbox” ??? Get over yourselves you literally gated features which are essentially finished that people have been begging for. Literally features cut from beta and never returned like truck tightness
You brought this all upon yourselves
@Peko_girlboss Hate to be that guy but this is in the first 5 minutes of the game. If the quality and details didn’t take an obvious nosedive the moment you get into the first town and wild area, I doubt as many people would call it ugly
I just shipped an update in the Discord to that AXRB version, which almost doubles the performance in most games. All games tested run at steady 90 FPS now. Some games even performed better than in the Emulator (North Star for example)
Wish I had a dollar for every Sonic ““Fan”” who defended this shit to me.
“WDYM MORE BAD LEVEL DESIGN AND PHYSICS? ITS PEAK! LOOK AT SHADOW HES THE MAIN CHARACTER HE IS SO COOL!!!!”
@krutoivgkzinc@neonarcadegrant This is not true in the slightest, I’ve been using emulators for 20+ years and the only time I ever used savestates is to create practice checkpoints for learning a speedrun or to analyze a glitch. A lot of people who use emulators know their games inside and out
A preview of the gameplay loop of Quickplay matchmaking
[DISCLAIMER: This is still very much in progress with many bugs to squish, do not mistake this for a final version]
The "Psychedelic" dullard. LSD, Ketamine, Shroom users will always be the most gullible to right wing politics because they are so empty headed, that they can only think in abstract, never concrete.
You spend your twenties and thirties having no real basis or objectives in your beliefs other than "yeah man taking down the man" you'll eventually come full circle to whatever snake oil salesman can phrase things in that way
I mean look at Spencer Pratt who spent millions of "Magic Crystals". These are not serious people in the slightest
@LiquidHbox The communities reaction to and reluctance to ban poorly designed characters like Steve & Kazuya, characters who were clearly unhealthy for the games long term competitive health, cemented my decision to never compete in a mainline new smash title ever again
@DramaticShape@BeardoBenjoYT But yeah, restarting would temporarily fix the issue, but it would come back on your second and each subsequent level entry. Having to restart before each level attempt isn’t the most playable, but other than that it was almost perfect! This is on a PSVR2 to PC setup with a 5080
@DramaticShape@BeardoBenjoYT You might already be aware of this but I tried it last night, worked fantastic except when going back into a level the 2nd, 3rd etc times the tickrate on the pokemon and their animations/positions was way off. The issue resolves itself when restarting the program
