If the Kuki separatist intellectuals such as those associated with WKZIC, Prof. Thongkholal, and Prof. Kham Khan Suan were truly confident in their claims regarding Kuki-dominated hill areas in Manipur, their response to restrictions imposed on their alleged territorial occupation would have been markedly different. Instead of resorting to relentless victimhood propaganda, groups like KOHUR, WKZIC, KSO, and others should have moved swiftly to the Supreme Court to assert their so-called legal and constitutional rights over the territories and the controversial road constructions.
But no such legal recourse was taken.
What has become of their aggressive narratives surrounding Kanggui, Songpi, and the so-called ‘Kukiland’? Why this sudden silence, especially after our Indigenous Liangmai brethren made their principled and unambiguous stand regarding the true custodianship of land in the hill areas of Manipur?
Now you are planning to dismantle what you have attempted.
Tiger Road to No Road
German Road to No Road
The answer is becoming increasingly clear: manufactured claims crumble when confronted with historical truth and indigenous solidarity.
What more concerning is the complete silence of the govt authority to sort out the facts and resolve the matter before things get out of hands. Why is the govt so inactive in such sensitive matter? Or are they part of the conspiracy designing the conflicts??
