CONF3RENCE 2026 is now free for everyone.

We're changing the access model. Both days — 15 and 16 September at Kokerei Hansa in Dortmund — are open to all visitors at no cost.

The reason is the site itself. This year CONF3RENCE runs inside the Festival of Arts, Tech & Taste: food, installations, a Ferris wheel, live formats, all on the same grounds and starting the same day. A fenced-off, ticketed area in the middle of an open festival campus would have worked neither operationally nor editorially.

What that changes, and what it doesn't:

The programme stays as planned. We start at midday on 15 September with speakers from Microsoft, Google Cloud, PwC, Deloitte, Union Investment, Chainlink and others, running into the Opening Night. 16 September is a full day of demos, onboarding and community programming.

What goes is the ticket structure. No paid tickets, no VIP tier, no premium access. Every visitor has the same access to stages, programme and site. Anyone who already bought a ticket has been refunded in full and keeps their place.

What stays is the curation. Two days, two programmes, one open campus — what differs is the programme, not the access.

Free doesn't mean unlimited. Capacity on site is capped, and registration is open

Co-founder and CEO of CheckSig, the Milan-based Bitcoin and crypto custodian for private and institutional clients. In May 2026 it became the first operator in Italy authorised under MiCAR by Consob, in one of Europe's strictest licensing regimes. Physicist by training, two decades in quant finance at Banca IMI and Monte Paschi Asset Management, founder of QuantLib. Also scientific director of the Digital Gold Institute and adjunct professor at ESSEC Paris.

Every blockchain eventually runs into the same wall: execution is cheap, storage is not. Xandeum joins CONF3RENCE 2026.

On Solana, program data sits on every validator — roughly two thousand copies of everything, which works until an application actually needs to store something substantial. Xandeum moves that data to a separate network of provider nodes with configurable redundancy and erasure coding, supervised cryptographically by validators, and exposes it to smart contracts as a file system rather than a blob store. Storage fees are paid in SOL and distributed through the network. The usage-based layer went live on mainnet earlier this year.

The wider question is one worth having in the Ruhr region specifically: where data physically lives, who controls the infrastructure it runs on, and what the alternatives to a handful of hyperscalers actually look like in practice.

Stablecoins are the one crypto use case that reached scale without needing to be explained. TRON DAO joins CONF3RENCE 2026.
