CONF3RENCE

Deeptech meets real adoption.
Web3, AI & frontier tech — Sept 15–16, 2026 · Dortmund 🇩🇪

[CONF3RENCE @conf3rence]

CONF3RENCE 2026 is now free for everyone.

We're changing the access model. Both days — 15 and 16 September at Kokerei Hansa in Dortmund — are open to all visitors at no cost.

The reason is the site itself. This year CONF3RENCE runs inside the Festival of Arts, Tech & Taste: food, installations, a Ferris wheel, live formats, all on the same grounds and starting the same day. A fenced-off, ticketed area in the middle of an open festival campus would have worked neither operationally nor editorially.

What that changes, and what it doesn't:

The programme stays as planned. We start at midday on 15 September with speakers from Microsoft, Google Cloud, PwC, Deloitte, Union Investment, Chainlink and others, running into the Opening Night. 16 September is a full day of demos, onboarding and community programming.

What goes is the ticket structure. No paid tickets, no VIP tier, no premium access. Every visitor has the same access to stages, programme and site. Anyone who already bought a ticket has been refunded in full and keeps their place.

What stays is the curation. Two days, two programmes, one open campus — what differs is the programme, not the access.

Free doesn't mean unlimited. Capacity on site is capped, and registration is open

Day one in Dortmund @conf3rence. The RWA conversation in DACH has moved past whether, and the how is where the economics start to hurt: who pays the cost of the underlying asset, and what the token is actually entitled to.

Two answers were missing in most conversations yesterday. Neither is a tech problem.

We're back on the floor at Kokerei Hansa today. More once the dust settles.

"You assume no one is looking." Martin Strobl (@mart1n) of @Logos_network on perceived privacy, the state most people are actually in, and why the lesson usually arrives after the damage. Full interview: https://t.co/ktZOWsLjt2

Don't create a token if you don't really need it. That was the first rule Mahsa Doorfard of @coin_ix gave me when I asked what founders should hear from a blockchain VC at @conf3rence. Her checklist, and why she likes a quiet market: #CONF3RENCE

[Cryptofocus @Cryptofocus_NL]

Most companies that decide AI is not ready yet have it backwards, architect and Microsoft MVP Luise Freese (@LuiseFreese) told me after her keynote at @conf3rence. The model is rarely the problem. The data, ownership and processes underneath it are. #CONF3RENCE

We're delighted to welcome Sergio Visalli (Italy Central Contact Point) and Daniele Tagliarini of DTC Advisory as partners.

Together they cover how payment and crypto firms enter the Italian market under MiCAR, and why compliance is a moat, not a wall.

15 and 16 September, Dortmund. Free admission.

[The Render Network @rendernetwork]

AI agents need compute. Who powers it is becoming one of the biggest questions in AI.

Render Network Foundation’s @SunnyOsahn is joining the “Agentic AI and the Battle for Compute Infrastructure” panel at @conf3rence on Sept 16 at 11:10 CEST in Dortmund.

He’ll be joined by Thomas Lüke (@googlecloud) and André Liesenfeld (@Microsoft) with Daniel Heinen moderating.

Two days ago, Merck announced a cocoa traceability pilot on Hedera. The man behind the technology in it is coming to CONF3RENCE 2026.

Dr Thomas Endress is Executive Director and Head of M-Trust™ at Merck. M-Trust™ links physical products to digital identities using crypto anchors — pigments and chips read by verification devices — so a digital product passport is backed by physical proof, not just a ledger entry. Running now with The Hashgraph Group and PwC Germany against the EU Deforestation Regulation. PhD in Quantum Optics, founded Merck's blockchain project.

15 & 16 September, Kokerei Hansa, Dortmund

[CONF3RENCE @conf3rence]

Social apps are good at attention and bad at getting anyone out of the house. WavyMania joins CONF3RENCE 2026.

The Berlin team is building a location-based discovery layer: a live map of what is happening nearby, a feed filtered by place and interest rather than by follower count, and tools for local businesses and communities to turn reach into actual visits. Day 2 of CONF3RENCE is our open day, and this is a product built for exactly that audience.

15–16 September 2026, Kokerei Hansa, Dortmund. Free entry, registration required.

One week to go.

On 15–16 September, Kokerei Hansa in Dortmund becomes a two-day event campus for digital assets, tokenization and AI. Together with Digitale Woche Dortmund and the Festival of Arts, Tech & Taste.

Entry is free. Registration is required.

[CONF3RENCE @conf3rence]

If you registered for CONF3RENCE 2026, you have already used their work. AKKA Studio joins CONF3RENCE.

AKKA is a full-stack product and web consultancy working almost exclusively with crypto and fintech companies — branding and positioning, dashboard and mobile UX, design systems, front-end and back-end build, smart contracts, and the maintenance afterwards. They built the CONF3RENCE website and brand identity, and their work for the Sui Foundation was named Site of the Day at Awwwards.

Worth saying plainly: interface quality is not a cosmetic layer on top of this industry, it is the adoption bottleneck. Most people who bounce off a wallet, an exchange or a tokenisation platform do not bounce off the cryptography. They bounce off a screen nobody thought hard enough about.

15–16 September 2026, Kokerei Hansa, Dortmund. Free entry, registration required.

[CONF3RENCE @conf3rence]

On3 is joining CONF3RENCE 2026.

No-code loyalty and community infrastructure on Web3 rails — quests, segmentation by on-chain behaviour, and rewards paid out as points, tokens, NFTs, Discord roles or physical goods.

Conventional loyalty points die with the programme. Portable ones don't.

15–16 Sept, Dortmund.

[CONF3RENCE @conf3rence]

Bitcoin maximalist. Blockchain skeptic. Ferdinando Ametrano is coming to CONF3RENCE 2026.

Co-founder and CEO of CheckSig, the Milan-based Bitcoin and crypto custodian for private and institutional clients. In May 2026 it became the first operator in Italy authorised under MiCAR by Consob, in one of Europe's strictest licensing regimes. Physicist by training, two decades in quant finance at Banca IMI and Monte Paschi Asset Management, founder of QuantLib. Also scientific director of the Digital Gold Institute and adjunct professor at ESSEC Paris.

15 & 16 September, Kokerei Hansa, Dortmund

[CONF3RENCE @conf3rence]

20 Seiten Umfang, Server in Frankfurt, Datenschutz & KI-Compliance.

15.–16. September 2026, Kokerei Hansa, Dortmund. Eintritt frei, Registrierung erforderlich.

[SwissBorg @swissborg]

Cyrus is coming to Germany. 🇩🇪

SwissBorg will also be represented by @PMBorger, joining the panel “Exchanges, Liquidity and Market Structure in the Next Cycle”.

Looking forward to connecting with builders, founders, investors and the German crypto community in Dortmund. 💚

Stablecoins are already moving at scale on TRON. 🔻

Next stop: @conf3rence in Dortmund, Germany. 🇩🇪

See you there.

There are two ways to put equities on-chain. ST0x picked the harder one. Nick Magliocchetti is coming to CONF3RENCE 2026.

Co-founder of ST0x Technology and Managing Director of S01 Issuer GmbH. Instead of synthetics or an offshore Reg S route, they took a full EU Base Prospectus — approved by Liechtenstein's FMA in March 2026, passported into 10 EU host states. Tokens are regulated debt instruments with a contractual Right of Exchange to real shares in segregated custody, trading as permissionless ERC-20s on a non-custodial layer on Base. Live and trading.

15 & 16 September, Kokerei Hansa, Dortmund

[CONF3RENCE @conf3rence]

We're welcoming Sergio Visalli to the stage, a lawyer specialising in Italian market entry for payment firms, EMIs and CASPs.

His focus: why passporting opens the door but doesn't build the operating model, and how compliance becomes a market entry advantage under MiCAR.

15 and 16 September, Dortmund. Free admission.

Every blockchain eventually runs into the same wall: execution is cheap, storage is not. Xandeum joins CONF3RENCE 2026.

On Solana, program data sits on every validator — roughly two thousand copies of everything, which works until an application actually needs to store something substantial. Xandeum moves that data to a separate network of provider nodes with configurable redundancy and erasure coding, supervised cryptographically by validators, and exposes it to smart contracts as a file system rather than a blob store. Storage fees are paid in SOL and distributed through the network. The usage-based layer went live on mainnet earlier this year.

The wider question is one worth having in the Ruhr region specifically: where data physically lives, who controls the infrastructure it runs on, and what the alternatives to a handful of hyperscalers actually look like in practice.

15–16 September 2026, Kokerei Hansa, Dortmund. Free entry, registration required.

We're delighted to welcome @Vi3nnaCongress as a community partner of CONF3RENCE 2026.
