Cannon School's Christina Hall is The Observer's girls' high school athlete of the week.
Hall, a freshman, won the 100- and 200-meters at the NCISAA state championships last week. She set a new school-record in the 200 (24.56 seconds).
She broke her own school-record in winning the long jump (18-2) and she anchored Cannon’s 400-meter relay team, which also won the state title.

Tom Izzo shares an uncomfortable truth about earning your spot.
"You play real good, you start. You don't play as good, you work your way back in."
"That's the American way - except America has gotten soft."

It starts with showing up and earning it every single day.
No shortcuts...Just hard work.

Two milestones, one proud dad.
Teague’s off to 1st grade. Zoe’s wrapping Montessori + stepping into 7th.
Watching them grow has been everything.
Now it’s my turn—off to the ST AD Conference, learning + leveling up.
New chapters for all of us.

"Everybody's got an opinion. Leaders are paid to make a decision. The difference between offering an opinion and making a decision is the difference between working for the leader and being the leader." -- Bill Walsh
