I don’t know if I can explain the pride I have in my heart for this family. The coaches, athletic trainers, managers, admins, wives, kids and most importantly the PLAYERS believed in each other with unabashed certainty
This win was done by a FAMILY
This win was for the FAMILY
Twenty-five years later, some moments are impossible to forget.
On the eve of the 25th anniversary of September 11th, former President George W. Bush visited FDNY Ladder Company 3 on Thursday—the firehouse whose apparatus was so badly damaged in the collapse of the World Trade Center that it never returned to service. Today, that rig is preserved at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
President Bush spoke with members about the days and years that followed the attacks.
The bullhorn speech at Ground Zero. That unforgettable first pitch at Yankee Stadium. And the people who stood together when our city—and our country—needed them most.
A quarter-century has passed, but the memories remain. #NeverForget
Happy 80th birthday to my friend George W. Bush!
Your friendship—and that of your father and your entire family—has been one of the great gifts of my life. It has always reminded me that long before we’re politicians, we’re fellow Americans and, above all, human beings.
And for the next month, I’m especially grateful to finally have someone older than me! Wishing you many more years of good health, happiness, and friendship.
Our country is stronger when we remember that what unites us is greater than what divides us.
@NASA has just released some EXTRAORDINARY tracking footage from Artemis II's launch just one week ago.
Mesmerizing exhaust flow interaction between all four RS-25's & twin SRB's.
The Cadets from Old Dominion University who stopped an active shooter, received 8 Meritorious Service Medals. Two of them received Purple Hearts…from the Sergeant Major of the Army and the Secretary of the Army.
Absolutely amazing and well deserved.
@pete_shearer@JimLaPorta Might want to pick up a bible and get caught up with the rest of the story…pretty sure God would want a word with your characterization.
Question: Pete Hegseth said today that there are no parallels to the Iraq war here. You were ambassador to Iraq. Do you see any parallels?
Amb Christopher Hill: “I think it's kind of extraordinary to say there are no parallels. There are a lot of them….There's never been a question can U.S. Forces prevail over forces from the Ayatollah or Saddam Hussein. The question is, how do we win the peace?” @ambchrishill
