Foxconn are investing $600M to establish two cutting-edge manufacturing plants in Karnataka.

One will partner with Applied Materials, bringing innovation to chipmaking tools.
$350M will go into creating a unit for smartphone component manufacturing. An additional $250M will fuel a plant for chipmaking tools with Applied Materials.

This move follows a meeting between Foxconn & Govt of Karnataka. The project is expected to generate 14,000 jobs and will be the beginning of a great ecosystem of manufacturing in not only in Karnataka, but India.
