It is a combination of things: DEI admissions and admitting more students who cheated throughout high school. The cheating by using AI is just a continuation of the cheating they did throughout high school and into college.

I went to UC Berkeley and the cheating used to be restricted mostly to the pre med students. From what my son tells me about high school, cheating is quite common amongst the students who got into UC Berkeley.

Certain tech people are very narrow in their tastes. They all live in the same areas and buy the same things.

Those areas will skyrocket. Other areas won't go up as much because they will only catch second order effects.

You saw the same phenomenon with each tech boom. Noe Valley was the darling of the dotcom and web 2.0 booms.

@TheLaurenChen Also the fast food restaurants all have deals. KFC has $10 for 8 pieces of chicken on Tuesdays. McDonalds has their McValue meals. Some Chinese restaurants have lunch specials for around $15 that will be enough for two meals.
