This family of nine is turning over a new leaf, after being resettled in Canada from Cameroon.
Diana, 20, is excited about furthering her education.
Kiara, 16, dreams of playing professional basketball.
Resettlement is a vital lifeline for some of the most vulnerable refugees.
Rita, 31, doesn't think she can ever return to Nigeria, because of the trauma she experienced when she was forced to flee for her life.
Mogode in Far North Cameroon, is now her home.
UNHCR has supported Rita and other refugees in Mogode with goats, to help them earn a living.

23-year-old Boukar’s been out of school since Dec 2021, when his family fled intercommunal clashes in Maga, Far North.
He hopes to be back in class in Sept, but for now volunteers with NGO ADYBEFEV, taking younger kids in the Bogo IDP settlement to school every day.
Being in a classroom is not just about learning.
Out-of-school children are at greater risk of violence and abuse.
#TransformingEducation means to ensure that every child has access to school and a safe place to learn!
