Ghana has taken decisive steps to recover from and address the causes of shocks and economic crisis.
Pleased that the first operation under @WorldBank program of support for reforms was approved by our Board yesterday!

@kobina@amma_aboagye Haha...their definition of premium service, not mine. Baffles my mind why we need a separate fast-tracked service. Why can't the regular service be equally efficient and accessible by all? Anyways...
@kobina@amma_aboagye I used their service on June 16. Cost me GHS679 for my expired license to be replaced. Got to their premises before the 8:30am start and left at 10:05am. Reason? The person to print the new license had an incident on his way to work. Thanks.
Great move! But hopefully, there is an exemption of cases involving persons who attempt suicide to evade the law. E.g. where a person commits an offense and fearing the legal implications tries to take his/her life, there needs to be a verification of mental health status first.
I am glad we have decriminalized suicide attempts in Ghana.
Over the years, the repealed law rather encouraged persons who yearned to commit suicide to take all necessary precautions to ensure successful execution, as failure in such attempts was considered a crime.
The 2020 winner of the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award, @VickyRubadiri, meets the family of late Ghanaian journalist Komla Dumor who inspired many African journalists to follow in his footsteps.
This is unacceptable @GhPoliceService. Please work on your response where persons with disabilities including mental health are concerned. It will be another feather in your cap.
This is barbaric & inhuman for a policeman to brutalize a person w/ mental health condition in Anaji WR. This is UNACCEPTABLE!😡 I strongly call on the @GhPoliceService to take immediate action to bring the officer to book @mha_ghana@QRGhana@CHRAJGHANA@MindFreedomGh@hrw@HRC

@Ghana Education Service, did you approve wearing of these shields without mask? Do we also know the impact of the shields on the eyes esp as these children have to read on a daily basis from the board? As for the seating condition, you know what is expected of you!

@IddrisuAliu3 There are laws that clearly state that medical treatment and reports for survivors of domestic violence must be provided free of charge. The fees being charged by docs are therefore illegal. What we need is enforcement of the laws.
This is a big challenge.
Justice can’t be achieved for survivors/victims of rape and defilement with such huge financial obligations expected from victims. The vulnerable and poor will always lose out. @NAkufoAddo we are falling. You must do something about this
