@xamplcollective It's a wonderful call, but it seems to me the email address you mention is not active? Or do you plan to only respond to submissions after the deadline? If so, maybe you could include information like this in the call 💛
If you have any thoughts on the interwovenness of power and knowledge, we would love to have your contributions for our book on exactly this: All kinds of academic and nonacademic background are welcome and we would love creative formats!! 🤓🧡

Do you agree no one should criminalised for helping someone access an abortion?
Our friend Justyna Wydrzyńska is facing up to three years in prison because she gave her own abortion pills to a woman who needed help.
The trial continues this week. Here's how you can help:
"I don't know what to say."
"Thank you for telling me!"
"Do you want to talk more about this?"
"Is there anything I can do for you right now?"
(feel free to continue with suggestions)
I know it can be overwhelming when some one tells you about having experienced sexual violence but please don't react like this!!!
If you are unsure say things like:
"What can I do to make you feel safe in telling this?"
"I am sorry/shocked this happened to you."

I had the pleasure of being a guest at Philosopher's Nest - Podcast: We talked about what feminism and mathematics might have to do with one another, about relations between situated and theoretical knowledges and the problem of sexual harassment in academia 🎙️🤓
This. Some academics need to stop being mad at their probably overworked and burned out students and start being mad at the messed up systems that make this stuff happen.
📺❗️New episode! Check out our interview with @CaraKather on her doctoral research, how she’s doing it in a cultural studies department and sexual harassment in academia. https://t.co/MY7EK8uccB
I am suggesting to put "Mathematics" in the mix of exactly this analysis to see how a specifically Western notion that is universalized as being the only way to do "Mathematics" stabilizes this hegemonic conceptual entaglement of "being rational" and "being human".
I am on my way back from my first conference and first talk on my dissertation and I thought I will share a very very brief summary of my talk on here:
The conceptual entanglement of "being rational" and "being human" as tools of reinforcing hegemonic structures of power is a decades old analysis (for example proiminently put forth by Sylviy Wynter and Achielle Memebe):
