New study showing that NSAIDs are just as effective as codeine (tylenol #3) for postoperative pain! https://t.co/jlxEas0Ed5

I want to thank everyone who got vaccinated with the AstraZeneca. I know you are all in an uncomfortable situation after recent announcements but I am convinced that all 850,000 Ontarians that got the shot contributed to averting a total collapse of our hospital system. 👏🙏🏻
Spent this aft in my office vaccinating <40yo with Moderna: CHF, congenital heart disease, asthma, and grocery store workers. Today's doses would not have been available this quickly if not for #GenXZeneca doing the wise thing and taking an effective vaccine when offered one.
Headlines focusing on AZ 1st doses being stopped due to blood clot risk are misleading and causing anxiety for those who got 1 dose.
AZ 1st doses are being stopped because we have a lot of Pfizer supply and can reduce a small risk of a serious event to even less.

If anyone who took AZ has any remorse about not waiting for Pfizer/Moderna, I just had a patient test positive who was exposed to the virus 13 days post AZ administration. Time was of the essence, and literally days mattered.
Outdoor sports should be allowed. I realize I am a broken record on this topic but it is worth repeating the science table never recommended closing outdoor amenities.
I have not heard single doctor ask for outdoor amenities to be closed.

Folks <60 years old now make up 41% of covid hospitalizations. Being younger won’t save you. Get the 1st vaccine you can, stay at home unless it’s essential you leave, minimize contact with anyone outside your household and call your doctor 4 advice if unwell @OntariosDoctors
Encouraging news: a patient of mine who had both Pfizer shots but contracted a VOC had only a very mild case and recovered quickly. Furthermore, he had viral load levels below what would be considered transmissible! Finally, none of his family became ill. 🎉👍👏
