@UnionistCentri1 @JP_Biz @hilarybennmp @little_pengelly @dhoneyford In my experience, most parcels from China etc arrive in GB, go through customs, and are then handled by internal postal services like Royal Mail or Evri to NI. They don't arrive on a plane from China at Aldergrove.

In summary, due to the Windsor Framework, these EU tariffs do NOT apply in NI. However, the UK is planning to introduce similar tariffs in 2029.

@totallyreused @romfordgeeza Pensions are actually more like a benefit for older people. There is no Insurance fund you pay into. Working people pay for the pensions of older people just like other benefits.

However people from NI would have to train in GB if that is required.
Most sports like swimming, athletics, hockey, golf are organised on an All Ireland basis so people from NI tend to join the Irish team. It is also easier to get selected for Ireland.

But how can it be legal for NI customers to pay tariffs for GB purchases to the EU with no benefit to NI.
No taxation without representation!

@TeamUnion_UK As per GFA a border poll will only be called when it is likely to succeed. This will be when the middle ground sees unification as better than the staus quo.
So what is the UK Gov going to offer to change that beyond platitudes ?

@JP_Biz They always ask this though anyway don’t they? I always have to tell the post office that I’m sending bread (Veda usually) and crisps (tayto of course) to my relatives that moved to England- or is this different?

NI to US - UK tariffs paid by US importer
US to NI - Under WF, EU tariffs apply in most cases but could be claimed back if goods proven not to enter EU (there is a cost to this)
