Debt Awareness Week is back for its 10th year – that’s a full decade of StepChange’s campaign to raise awareness of debt issues, and the help and advice available to deal with them.

This year, from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 March, we’ll be looking at some of the reasons why you might be hesitating to get help with debt worries, and how you can overcome them to take control of your life.

Our research shows there are five common reasons people might not seek help for their debt problems, even during the ongoing cost of living crisis.

We’ll focus on one of those reasons each day from Monday to Friday, sharing hints, tips and useful guides do you can take the first step to getting help, as well as other people’s stories and experience of getting advice.
