I am pointing out one of the clear design flaws that opposers of #HS2 predicted: that large sections of this route are susceptible to flooding.

Have design criteria @HS2 changed? It appears that the useless railway line has been binned in favour of an inland waterway system linking the docks of London and Birmingham to rival The Manchester Ship Canal.
It solves the issue of a flooded line.
