Upgrading to John Deere's ExactShot technology led to an 87% reduction in chemical use, along with major time and labor savings. By precisely applying fertilizer only where the seed is planted, ExactShot minimizes waste and boosts productivity. #ExactShot#PrecisionAg#JohnDeere

@AmericanAi32886 After years of being a loyal customer, you left me stranded in Chicago today. No flights a short hop to Des Moines until Saturday night. And no willingness to compensate me for what will end up being close to $500+ in hotel and food for our family of three.
.@JohnDeere expands planter upgrade options with new MaxEmerge 5e and ExactEmerge meter kits, enabling farmers to boost productivity and precision without replacing entire row units.

My two favorite things about agriculture are the people and the fact you can learn something new each day. That sums up the weekend at @FarmBureau National Convention. It was a blast. What an honor to share the @JohnDeere Precision Upgrades story. @IowaFarmBureau. #driveforward
Humbled to spend the weekend with people who are passionate about advocating for agriculture. Beyond excited to share the @JohnDeere Precision Upgrades story with this crowd. @FarmBureau@IowaFarmBureau#stepupstepforward
After meeting with young and beginning producers from across the country, our analysts at @TerrainAg decided to delve into the average age of producers and what it means for farm transition planning. ⬇
Compared to their peers in other industries, farmers and ranchers are older. In 2023, the median farmer and rancher age was 56 – the highest of any occupation and 14 years older than the median age of all employed workers.
The analysts went on to measure relative age – or, in this case, the number of workers older than 65 as a percentage of workers age 16 to 64. This ratio is nearly 50%, well above any other occupation.
While the average age of producers has increased without too much disruption, there is a significant difference between the number of producers aging out and the number of producers coming in. Meaning, there will be a tipping point to larger-scale transitions at the farm gate.
Our analysts at Terrain conclude that this transition will require significant capital, planning and innovative finance. Forward-thinking farmers and agribusinesses that execute the best game plan stand to grow significantly.

Core Christmas memory.
Christmas Eve candle light service at my grandma’s little Missouri country church.
She sang Oh Holy Night.
I was in total awe.
Followed by dinner and her classic, Buche De Noel (Yule log).
Merry Christmas!

This is what kind or leader Rocco Becht is. Instead of running to the lockerroom after the 45-19 loss, he stood waiting in the tunnel and until he could say something to every single teammate. #Cyclones@KCCINews#Big12Championship
