I still like to go back and look at this post.
I joined RTW as their first account executive one month before this.
Now, 18 months later, 500+ clients, 96% retention rate, Director of Sales with a team of over 12 strong just on the sales side…
Grateful is an understatement.
Over the last little over 3 years:
- I went through a difficult divorce
-I was homeless and sleeping in my car
-I worked my ass off at a solar and roofing commercial sales company only for it to go under and not be able to pay out (did around $8 million in solar sales that will never be completed)
-I went into over $60,000 in personal debt
-I had a stroke at 26 years old that would have been another $120,000+ medical bill
-I was deep in my own depression.
In the last 18 months:
-I remarried and found the love of my life, and became a step dad so we are now a family of 5
-Found Danny on X and started working at RTW
-Paid off all of my debt AND my wife’s debt in a matter of months
-Bought a house in a nice neighborhood in Utah
-Visited more countries in a 12 month span than I did my entire life before
-Built a home gym which has been a huge life goal of mine FOREVER
-And most importantly, have created a future for each of my kids and a life for my amazing wife and I.
It’s amazing how much can change in a relative short amount of time if you stick your nose to the grindstone and hustle it out.
It’s even more amazing that who you choose as your partner has the greatest affect on success. My wife pushes me harder than anyone ever has and believes in me more than anyone ever has.
It also doesn’t hurt when you work for a company like @wavefbgroups that gives you the tools to explode with success.
Cheers to the next 500 clients.
Today marks the day when we have officially crossed 100 active clients.
100 small businesses are actively entrusted to manage their organic Facebook marketing done the right way.
The journey has been unreal.
I have worked tirelessly to build relationships with franchise networks (a massive part of our growth).
We also have 30 full-time employees and are growing fast.
My skills as an entrepreneur have grown tremendously.
I've learned more about hiring, sales, marketing, leadership, and operations than I could have imagined.
I am also a landscape business owner, but let me tell you, the agency space is a whole different beast, and I love it.
There are so many moving parts, and it is hard to replicate success across so many different industries.
I aim to continue growing and be at 200 active clients by the end of 2025.
The biggest thing I have learned is to provide a valuable service and people will come to you.
There are so many people that have helped out a long the way. There are too many to tag. But all of the cowboys, many of my clients, franchise brand owners, and many other have been instrumental too my success and learning.
I dont share too many losses and mostly wins, but let me tell you there has been countless days where I have been overly stressed with things on my plate. Its all part of the process.
Cheers to everyone business owner working hard to hit their 2025 goals!
@jsn_wht What’s more important than the jobs photos is the connection you create.
Talk about the community, talk about yourself but give people a reason to want to work with you.
The photos are just a plus!
Crazy cause look at a post from someone in my neighborhood group in the last 24 hours.
If there was an RTW-associated concrete company in this area or posting in this group, there would have been referrals and mentions on this post...
Not to mention, this OP would have probably already had said company ready to call for the project.
All it takes is a little bit of consistency, and our clients are referred on every post like this.
We run Facebook groups for 500+ home service businesses across the US.
Here are 34 that do the best in local community groups:
1. Roofing
2. Siding
3. Exterior painting
4. Interior painting
5. Gutter installation
6. Window and door replacement
7. Deck building
8. Fence installation
9. Pressure washing
10. Epoxy garage floors
11. Concrete and driveways
12. Hardscaping and patios
13. Landscaping and mulch
14. Tree removal
15. Artificial turf
16. Holiday light installation
17. Outdoor kitchens
18. Pool installation
19. Kitchen remodeling
20. Bathroom remodeling
21. Basement finishing
22. Flooring installation
23. Cabinet refinishing
24. Custom closets
25. Countertop installation
26. HVAC
27. Plumbing
28. Electrical
29. Water treatment systems
30. Generator installation
31. Solar installation
32. Insulation
33. Foundation repair
34. Basement waterproofing
Every one of these has homeowners asking about it in a local Facebook group this week. Out loud. By name.
The pattern is simple…
If the work is visual and the buyer lives within 20 miles of you, local groups work.
A painting company in Pennsylvania: 147 leads, 9.5 ROAS.
An outdoor kitchen builder in Fort Myers: 75 leads, $111,156.
A garage floor company in Boston: 396 leads, $275,000.
Same channel. Three trades in three states.
If you want to see what this would look like in your market…
DM me “GROUPS” and let’s chat.

@jsn_wht Honestly, it’s a mix. Befores and afters probably have the hottest reaction.
People want to see something that looks like the current state of their floor and see what they can realistically turn it into.
Facebook groups still printing for this company over a year later after this post.
The owner also reported a high confidence in an additional 6 figures of revenue from just referrals within the groups.
Referrals that were generated from people seeing or interacting with our posts.
Epoxy has been one of our most consistent industries to date.
Our current top industries are painters, roofers, concrete coatings, closet design, bathroom and kitchen remodelers, hardscaping, landscaping, typical general contractors and the trades (HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
We work with still another 20+ industries. Everything from home services to med spas to restaurants.
Nothing beats the organic exposure.
If you’re not already doing this yourself, task your sales guy with putting a post or two into these groups.
Or
Have us do this for you across 200+ groups at a time.
How we helped an epoxy flooring company generate $275,000 in revenue.
No Ads.
No Spend.
No Effort (because we did all the work).
Just local Facebook groups and a killer strategy.
Here’s how we did it 🧵👇
@jamesonhaslam is awesome. Been watching him on here for a minute.
What @DannyMagazu, @wavefbgroups and myself do for our home service clients is unmatched.
And we don’t just join 5 or 10 active fb groups.
We join the best 200 homeowner groups.
500+ clients, 96% retention.
🌊
one shoutout I forgot to mention is my friend @DannyMagazu who has figured out how to productized the Facebook groups thing and sell it as a service (you should hire him)
the “secret sauce” here is ubiquity and consistency: you want to be 5 mile famous and just get your face out there
Danny will find, join, and post in all the neighborhood groups in your area
We don’t post stuff like “hire us to build your deck”
More like “here’s who we are and we are working in your community” “helpful tips for back to school” etc

@jamesonhaslam@DannyMagazu I’ve been on @DannyMagazu ‘s team now for almost 2 years at @wavefbgroups. I used to do the same thing for a mobile oil change company I ran in college. Now we do Facebook groups for 500+ clients.
Hit either of us up for any questions or go check out our website site!
I'll die on this hill...
AI is not going to grow your home service business.
I run an agency with 89 people. We manage Facebook groups for 500 contractors. Every post, every comment, every DM done by a person, every day.
We could automate half of it tomorrow. Facebook would suspend every profile and ad account we own by Friday.
The second a homeowner in a local group can tell they're talking to a bot, you're done in that community. For good. These are people who live four streets over from each other.
Every competitor in your market is buying the same tools this year.
They'll win because they showed up in the same room for 12 months straight while everyone else was building automations.
Boring beats clever.
@coldcutsenjoyer@DannyMagazu Go ahead and book a call. I’ll give you a call once you do and we can see if it’s a good fit. Were a little bit late in the season for Pest Control, hence the “bad fit”
@DannyMagazu I haven’t been here since the beginning but I’ve been here for the crazy growth from 50 clients and on.
I can’t wait to 10x what we’ve already 10x’d 💪🏻
@collin_ruth89 I saw something from Hermozi awhile ago about using memes to break the usual follow ups.
These have been my go to lately and have worked like a dream
