@jwckauman@RossDellenger@YahooSports As long as it’s only 2 conferences negotiating the TV contracts and splitting the revenue somewhat evenly it has a chance of working.
@RudiFL22@RossDellenger@YahooSports Correct but they should for the betterment of the sport. College football doesn’t need every game to be a blockbuster or to have parity like the NFL. So when big regular season games happen it feels like Super Bowl. All a pipe dream though.
@DanielSDC1965@RossDellenger@YahooSports Agreed, but I’d argue they’re short sighted into what actually makes college football special. The NFL makes it work with the Cowboys and Jaguars but it’s very different
@50ElevenTimes@RossDellenger@YahooSports Forcing ND to join the Big10 gives them another big time program and more parity but agreed SEC would be the stronger of the two
@LMii23@RossDellenger@YahooSports But why??? I want more teams and college towns in Tier 1 college football. I want to go to a game in Pullman Washington one day and actually have it mean something. I know it’s a pipe dream but that’s what August is for before my team melts down in week 3.
@dawgack@RossDellenger@YahooSports They’d definitely have a big advantage along with Penn State in that region. But Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, and Oklahoma don’t have it too bad either in their regions.
@50ElevenTimes@RossDellenger@YahooSports They get screwed along with Boise State and South Florida. There are only so many life boats into the SEC & Big10 TV deals, can’t save everyone.
@diggsdecisions3@RossDellenger@YahooSports Yeah I hear you, but I’d want to save all of the old Power 5 teams including Oregon St and Washington St. Those small towns and markets are make college football beautiful. FWIW, plenty of teams still get left behind with this
@spywhozagged@RossDellenger@YahooSports Boise State, Tulane, and South Florida all big losers here. Have to draw the line somewhere. Oregon St and Washington St coming back to a big conference would be good for humanity.
@Jmarkha91@halleygator@RossDellenger@YahooSports Totally agree. A lot of teams still get left behind with 2 super leagues. But this saves a lot of teams and fan bases. Wish there was room for NDST
