@MrsLauraGorr @jthill I like the use of positive proactive connections with stakeholders. I think that is a route to success. I wonder how one could keep this design functional when one has large class sizes or sees multiple sections throughout the day?

@thinkmo @jthill In some ways I hope that we can foster resilience in students’ work ethic, at the same time it also makes sense to try and succeed with structures that already resonate with students because they will shape the future to suit themselves, which likely means more of the same.

@evelyn_hickey @hrdavidson78 A: I think incorporating universal supports is how we strive for rigour. When students feel like they have an access point and a way to voice their opinions and ways of knowing in the classroom they intrinsically become more excited to engage. #dtk12

@BarberLegendre A10: I think the best way to achieve differentiation is to use goals, assessment, methods, and materials as a way to access the outliers in your class. If we plan for the outer limits, all students will fall somewhere in-between.

@mrs_troendle A9: As a new teacher I think scaffolding is going to have to be well thought out and very intentional. For practiced hands, there are probably certain things that always get clumped together so the process becomes more intuitive. #dtk12

@MissNussbaum Time is definitely a factor, I also think looming curriculum expectations take the wind out of inquiry. For some of us it might just be our own education experiences in the past.

@GebersMyrna For this I think we need to reflect on the journey we took to get there. Finding a way to utilize design thinking to solve problems as a staff as an example might get the wheels turning for some. #dtk12

@Jon_Beckett I like the ones that come as sentence starters, like critical friends, for those of us becoming accustomed to giving feedback. I also think the word lists we have on our design template (HMW) are good examples of positive action words that drive the creative experience. #dtk12

@MrsTenHove A9: My favourite go to is poking your head next door and asking for someone's opinion. I think sometimes we feel a little shy to do a similar thing to people in other professions because we feel we might be inconveniencing them. I say risk it for the possible connection. #dtk12

@MBates2019 A7: I particularly like the Lunch Box talks because they allow students to engage with the community members. I'm not sure that I like bring in community members as judges for contests. It creates a space between those members of the community and our students.
