A9: Maybe by ensuring there are enough feedback loops built in so that ss can understand where they are at with their learning and teachers can identify problems early. #dtk12
#dtk12 A big thank you goes out to David Scott, Joshua Hill, Dan Meyer, Sharon Friesen, Kelly Eddy and all the EDUC 546 students that gave us feedback on our Math design project
Our EDUC 546 design solution - engaging students in mathematics through a discipline based inquiry project on the use of digital devices in school. #dtk12 @Liza74508839 @MBates2019
Thank you for all your support in our Design project. Shout out to David Scott, Joshua Hill, Dan Meyer, Kelly Eddy and all the EDUC 546 that gave us feedback #dtk12
@6243_1 I think if we first understand what the learning intentions are, and what we accept as learning, and we work backwards from there, then we will see if tasks are relevant and discard them if they are not - even if they're cool.
@TaylorElder17 A5 I think regular formative assessmnt and iterative feedback would help. Get students thinking about what they know rand how they know it. This would help students keep focused on where they want to go (what their goal is)
@jthill Hi Joshua. I am working on a portfolio for EDUC 556 and have to show collaboration. Can I use our conversations over Twitter? If so, with or without your name and picture?
@dmscott73 @Jon_Beckett@APKRentz@KorolErin@ryanssiemens I was wondering about bringing experts into every class at the beginning of a unit to share their passion for their area. This might go a long way to helping them think like a ...(insert profession or job)
@dmscott73 @MissNussbaum I think knowing what competencies you are looking for and designing projects around them. Students need to be clear about expectations and understand that it is not a 'just for fun' project but an opportunity to really learn.
#dtk12 Q7 The Prairie Waters Elem. School uses their Lunch Box talks to connect with the community. What other ways could you bring the community into the school?
@ElsenMichele This is wonderful. I was wondering about bringing experts into every class at the beginning of a unit to share their passion for their area. This might go a long way to helping them think like a ...(insert profession or job)
@KorolErin@JS11727@jnordh9 @PoissantCarrie Erin I think technology is a wonderful tool to connect with community. We need to be wise with its use and not use it like a Facebook format. We also need to be cognizant of screen time and brain development. Used correctly though I think it is fabulous
@KorolErin@MrsTenHove@MissWeatherhead We could all benefit by looking at the world with a design mindset. We sometimes quit taking risks as adults because we weren't allowed to make mistakes as children.
