Greta Thunberg could have become a state-approved civil society “climate activist” — instead she has put herself on the line again and again to oppose genocide and Western complicity.
She is a light in the darkness.

Ukrainian Defenders Denys "Bars" and Dmytro "K2" have returned from the positions near the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region, where they held the line for 130 days.
According to the Warriors, the most difficult moment was their first direct firefight with Russians:
"That was the scariest part. After that, it becomes routine. It’s better when you’re the one shooting, not the one being shot at."
Overall, they eliminated seven Russian occupiers. From the bodies of killed Russian soldiers, they seized radios and for another two months monitored enemy movements, relaying the information to the battalion’s command post.
The Warriors also showed off a captured AK-12 rifle. Denys’s personal weapon was buried under rubble during an attack by a Russian FPV drone, forcing him to use enemy weapons in combat.
The Defenders were evacuated from the position by an all-terrain vehicle with a trailer. Along with them, a 23-year-old Russian prisoner of war, Danil Sychov from Volgograd, was also evacuated. During the fighting, he surrendered to Ukrainian Warriors from a neighboring position, but could not be evacuated at the time. As a result, he remained with the Ukrainian infantrymen at the position for more than two months. They shared their supplies with him.

The antisemitism case against comedian Reginald Hunter has been thrown out in remarkably contemptuous terms.
Striking how often when an impartial and conscientious judge looks closely at these cases they are appalled by the sheer dishonesty (see also the rulings in favour of Michael Rosen and James Wilson in 2024 and the University and College Union in 2013)
"The Campaign Against Antisemitism have demonstrated by the misleading and partial way in which it summarised its application and its wilful, repeated, failure to meet its disclosure obligations, that its true and sole motive in seeking to prosecute Reginald Hunter is to have him cancelled .... I have no doubt that the prosecution is abusive ... My view of the conduct of the CAA is consistent with them as an organisation which is not 'playing it straight' but is seeking to use the criminal justice system, in this case for improper reasons."
The judge ordered that his judgement be disclosed and attached to any future case brought by the CAA.
Perhaps @BBCNews could take note and stop treating the CAA's Chief Executive, Gideon Falter, as a spokesman for the Jewish community.

@Powers256Powers@HEBobiwine Dear Jackie, Perhaps an end to a murdering corrupt octogenarian dictatorship (which Bobby quite bravely is trying to achieve) might be something you could have mentioned as the main stumbling block to improving livelihoods?
