Hello MS community. Has anybody sequence some of the chromoteck nanobody (e.g. V5) tryptic peptide sequences? We like to add it to our list of contaminant and potentially use it to make sure same amount of beads was used for each coIP
We are recruiting a colleague in the Donnelly Centre at the University of Toronto. We are looking for an assistant professor in the broad area of functional genomics: https://t.co/b4xZ0cQMIJ closing date is Jan 16, 2025 @DonnellyCentre@UofT@uoftmedicine
@Nature Thanks for bringing this up once again! The work highlighted in this year’s medicine and chemistry prizes is outstanding… but we owe it to ourselves to do better. One thing for sure (and base on some of comments I just read): male stupidity has no limit 💁♂️

We had a great time on Anvil Island (last week) for our lab retreat, with discussions on what it means to pursue a PhD, a review of one of our recent grants, and setting out our vision for the future, along fun team-building activities and games.
Congratulations to BMB Faculty Dr. Eric Jan, Dr. Lindsay Rogers, and Dr. Annie Ciernia on receiving the 2024 Faculty of Medicine Distinguished Achievement Award! 👏

@BarakRotblat In the ideal world… in the meantime we may need to upload stampdated electronic lab book entries in a protected database shareable upon publication… you can still cheat but would have to do it over years before publishing, which may deter some and reassure others
😮We knew it was coming but I was hoping we had more time Check these AI-augmented figures. Can you spot the fake data? For instance the last lane in the Western. We will have to rethink how we generate data and publish them
@bmart87 This is formidable !!! Congrats on you position - Can’t wait to catch up next time I am in Montreal - leaving my postdoc was a bitter sweat moment and I guess we all had a similar feeling but what lies ahead is sooo exciting- enjoy the well deserved break
@J_my_sci You should contact Philip Lange - they did implement some of the steps on a KF but last time I asked they still needed to do the clean up separately. Two student I our lab demo it but then declared they preferred doing it manual (using magnetic rack in a 96 well format 🤷)
