@iamnobody2025@katsuxbt Because corporate lobbying has pretty much tied up every single legal avenue to get this fixed. It doesn’t matter who you vote in and what promises they make the problem never gets any better.
@fbacchella@kellabyte@trimegistus444 The application I manage isn’t cloud based. We have more of an appliance type architecture where the only thing I can count on is the server. So elastic sadly isn’t an option for us. At least with structured logs we can use tools to parse them better than raw logs.
@sudobunni You know I wanna feel this way. But every time I use it I deal with Micro lags all of the place. Some comments seem to suggest it’s a Mac issue.
@_sysengineer Ooh I have a similar experience. I used to work tech in K12. Our mdf was in the media center workroom. We had a teacher bring an air dryer in and plug it up. It tripped the circuit breaker and took down the network for the whole school. It was stressful then but hilarious now.
@zeeg@dommcdev I think sinking ship is hyperbole. But I wouldn’t be surprised that with the moves Apple is making, that Windows loses considerable market share in the next 5-10 years.
@kellabyte@trimegistus444 I mean I don't disagree, but what alternatives do we have for structured logs. I see the benefit of them for parsing, but when it comes to just looking at a log file to view them it's a mess. I absolutely refused to use YAML lol
@kristijan_kralj So I'm not a C# developer. I use mostly JS and Go. But I'm curious. In Node, we have easy options to mock. I don't like the pattern, but it's there. In Go we technically can mock, but writing test mocks against an actual implementation is far cleaner. How do you test in C#?
@theahmedjaffery@VicVijayakumar Amazon support is likely prioritized by how much money you spend. If OP is hosting a free app and spending very little money it’s not unreasonable to assume they are pretty far low on their priority list.
@PatternRekogntn@aakashgupta There is a hidden cost savings when you standardize on a battle tested software suite. I love to hate on Microsoft just as much as anyone else. I think outlook is terrible and wish I didn’t have to use Teams every day. But as a business decision it is reasonable.
@jvzaniolo@saltyAom I remember spending about 10 mins on a bug thing to figure out what was going on until I discovered that it doesn’t automatically handle the content type. That was fun.
@caarlos0 I moved from Bitwarden due to 1password being better. I'm still very iffy about that price increase. I have about 6-8 months to weigh on that decision. For an annual price, sure I guess it's not horrible. But I don't feel like they added enough value to be worth it.
So does anyone have suggestions for a mouse better than the Logitech MX Master series? I'm getting really annoyed that the Options+ software keeps bugging out and all my gestures fail to work any longer.
@psorcastic_jack What's worse is getting three months into the relationship, realizing it definitely isn't going to work out and have to start over again. I'll take rejected at the coffee date over that lol. Easier and faster to recover from.
@FindingAccalia@WeUsandCo_@kirawontmiss Eh I mean I can't speak for everyone but when I was younger, essentially I didn't pay any taxes. My income was so low I pretty much got most of it back. Then I had kids and got back even more.
