KRA has graduated to your tax accountant,
Courtesy of the Finance Act, 2026.
• Starting in January 2027, it is KRA that shall FIRST tell you, what income it believes you earned in 2026. And what taxes you shall therefore pay.
KRA will do this by generating a pre populated income tax return using the information it already has, such as:
• eTIMS data
• PAYE records
• Withholding tax records
• Plus any other information already in KRA systems
KRA shall then send you this pre-populated return by 31st January 2027.
Once you receive it, you have 2 MONTHS (February and March), and 2 OPTIONS. To either:
• Confirm it. If it is correct. Or,
• Reject & amend it. If KRA got the numbers wrong. And provide your own numbers together with supporting documents.
- If you make your amendments late. Or,
- You do not make any amendments at all,
KRA shall conclude that you have agreed with its assessment, and you shall pay the KRA generated tax bill.
After that, you can use the amended or confirmed return to file your taxes as follows:
• If you are a human being, file by April 30th 2027.
• If you have no flesh & blood (company, partnership, trust, etc), file by June 30th.
(Or the last day of the sixth month after your accounting year ends.)
One more critical mistake to watch.
• Do not assume KRA's numbers are always correct. The law has expressly given you the right to accept or reject the pre-populated return before filing.
Lessons:
• Proper bookkeeping is King in 2026.
• Mark the new tax timelines in your calendar.
Now, reread this slowly.
Dear President Ruto @WilliamsRuto I❤️Ruto . We are burdened enough, taces, low business earnings and high cost of living. The war has increased fuel costs and I appreciate your subsidy has saved us from very high fuel prices. However this law for 4 year cars need inspection is a low for us private car owners. We cannot afford new cars and we struggle with high costs of maintenance too. The import laws are 8 year old cars. Next we have only six days to comply. Please dont punish us and give us a 60day window to get the inspections done. We appreciate that our cars will be in better conditions with these inspections and MOT rules are in Europe ans USA and we want to be Singapore standard. Hiwever we dont earn that much to roll out in 6 DAYS. Is it possible this can be RT and reaches the President @StateHouseKenya
@swajjj@polo_kimanii This is actually what happens. Unakuta she was some Instagram model who's dating or married to a border guy, but keeps the range guy for her fake lifestyle!
KISUMU-BUSIA HIGHWAY: HOW MANY MORE LIVES MUST WE LOSE?
For years, Kisumu-Busia road has been a source of pain and frustration for thousands of motorists, passengers, traders, and families who rely on it every day. What should be a critical transport and trade corridor has become one of the most dangerous roads in our region.
The highway passes through Kisumu, Vihiga, Siaya, and Busia counties. It serves millions of people and carries a significant share of trade between Kenya and our East African neighbours. Yet despite its importance, large sections of the road remain riddled with potholes, narrow, poor road markings, inadequate signage, and dangerous bottlenecks that continue to put lives at risk.
Every week, we hear of another tragic accident. Families lose loved ones. Breadwinners never make it home. Children are left without parents. Vehicles are damaged, businesses disrupted, and communities forced to bear the heavy cost of a problem that can and should be fixed.
These are not unavoidable tragedies. Many of these accidents are the direct result of poor road conditions and delayed intervention by @KeNHAKenya the agency responsible for maintaining this highway.
The Constitution guarantees every Kenyan the right to life and security. Government agencies entrusted with public infrastructure have a duty to ensure that our roads are safe for those who use them. That duty cannot be ignored.
I therefore call upon the Ministry of Roads and Transport @TransportKE@Roads_KE and the Kenya National Highways Authority (@KeNHAKenya) to take immediate action and provide clear answers to the people of Western Kenya.
Specifically, I demand:
1) Immediate repair of dangerous potholes and damaged sections along the entire Kisumu-Busia corridor.
2) A clear and publicly available roadmap for the upgrading and expansion of this highway, including the dualing of identified blackspots and high-traffic market centres.
3) Urgent implementation of road safety measures, including proper signage, visible road markings, pedestrian crossings, and traffic calming measures in school and market areas.
The people of Kisumu, Vihiga, Siaya, and Busia deserve safe roads. They deserve leadership that responds to their concerns before lives are lost, not after.
Enough of the promises. Enough of the delays. Enough of the needless deaths. The time for action is now.
@johnnyosh13@citizentvkenya This doesn't make sense. Today morning I tried doing 80kph along the expressway, and I was the slowest driver. Actually if all vehicles were doing that, we could have created unnecessary traffic. 80kph for, expressway, Southern by pass, & Thika road, is senseless!
@abdirahman_raw@GoraniNK@kamauwaruhiu If what you're saying is true, Westgate, dusit, Garissa University, 1998 bombings, Kikambala, or any other terrorist attacks couldn't have happened!
@kigentommy@Kimuzi_ We have! Cape varde has never produced a player the calibre of Mariga or Wanyama! Corruption and match fixing killed kenyan football. Funny we've faced them 4 times and won 3 out of 4. Stop defending corruption!
She did not come back home early the night before. And she did whatever the boyfriend is saying she did.
But do you know why all that happened?
Talking to, or fucking, another guy. Coming back home late...
It happened because she knew that the worst that could happen was, "They will talk about it."
And here they are, talking about it.
Truly, that is the worst thing that can happen. Nothing else will happen.
The boyfriend already lost.
This show of his is a facade.
He cannot leave her. That is the exact reason the woman cheated on him.
She knows.
But what I want you reading this to take away from this is that "talking about it" is your number one crime.
You do not have a conversation with her about the fact that she cheated.
Never talk about it.
Asking dumb questions like this brother is currently doing is how you take away guilt from the woman who has just cheated on you and, consequently, hand her the calmness to further deny that she had sex with another man.
It is a sign of desperation. Desperation is weakness.
When a man shows desperation to get a woman to admit to fucking another man, or talking to another man, he abdicates his power in that situation.
She is supposed to be the restless one - worrying whether you know.
Therefore, when you, the offended party, take upon yourself the disturbance meant for the woman, the offender, she reaches a state of emotional ease where her guilt disappears, and her responses begin to sound almost like the truth because she states them with a calmness that is typically non-existent in such a confrontation.
She will lie to you if you ever "talk about it" with her.
