I find the anti-EV future 3ppm tax argument rather naive, given that for ICE cars the fuel duty tax already costs ~5-10ppm.
You pay LESS TAX running an EV, even after the 3ppm increase
This is how I rank my last 10 cars in terms of fun to drive
1 Mini Cooper S Coupe
2 Mercedes SL
3 Porsche Cayenne
4 Tesla Model Y Dual Motor
5 Audi A7
6 Audi A6
7 Mercedes E-Class
8 Range Rover Evoque
9 Jaguar F Pace
10 Range Rover Velar
@RangeRover I would've expected technical bulletins to be included in the 165 checks that are performed.
I'd also expect the 165 checks to include something that detected the engine vibration.
Just bought a low mileage approved used petrol Velar from @rangerover
Took it back the next day with an engine vibration. They checked codes & fobbed me off with it's OK.
I pointed them to their own technical bulletins. They are now changing some parts.
Very disappointing!!

Would you turn down £750 to wait for 1 hour at motorway service station / shopping centre / hotel?
It can be split into multiple sessions e.g 6 at 10 mins each.
That's the 'fuel' saving from my @Tesla over 5 months
12 minutes 'waiting' per month
10 minutes per 1000 miles

I feel that #TeamLH need a lesson in Social Media.
It is NOT ENOUGH to simply 'LIKE' a post!!
My recent post about potential injustice towards #SuperMax had >1.5m views (1M within 4 hours), way more than my #LewisHamilton injustice posts.
This was achieved through REPOSTING, QUOTING, REPLYING & TAGGING other users. All of which drive greater visibility.
One of them is Aryan (German) and had the full support of #F1 establishment whose most influential members held far right beliefs and had close family ties to the leaders of the Nazi party.
The other is black and had their record breaking 8xWDC stolen when F1 establishment deciding it was acceptable to reinvent the safety car regulations on the final lap of the season, thus preventing a black driver from breaking a record shared with aforementioned Aryan.

I wanted to share a scary experience I recently had with my Tesla, both as a warning to other owners and because I’m extremely disappointed with how Tesla handled it afterward.
I put my dog in the car and ran back inside for a minute to grab something. When I came back out, the car suddenly would not recognize either my phone/mobile key OR my Tesla key card. I had no idea what was happening and tried quickly searching online for a solution.
It was about 85 outside and probably around 95 inside the car. My dog was locked inside with no air conditioning.
We called the police and Tesla Roadside Assistance around the same time. Roadside eventually connected me with someone who remotely checked the car and told me that the low-voltage battery had died. I had received NO warning that the battery was about to fail.
By this point, my dog had been trapped in the hot car for close to 30 minutes. The police were unable to get into the car through the lock, and Tesla did not provide us with a way to quickly access it. Given the temperature and the risk to my dog, the Tesla representative agreed that breaking a window was the appropriate thing to do.
So that’s what we did.
Later that day, I had the car jumped and drove it—with a missing window—to the Tesla Service Center. Between replacing the low-voltage battery and the broken window, the repair was approximately $1,200.
What bothers me more than the repair bill is Tesla’s response.
I contacted Roadside Assistance again, spoke with the Chesterfield Service Center and its manager, and contacted Tesla customer service after paying for the repairs. Tesla offered no assistance or reimbursement.
I understand that batteries fail. What I have a much harder time accepting is that a low-voltage battery can apparently fail without warning, disable normal access to the vehicle, and leave an animal (or potentially an infant) trapped inside without an obvious quick method of entry.
In my opinion, that is a serious safety/design issue.
I’m sharing this primarily so other Tesla owners know this can happen. If you regularly travel with children or pets, I would strongly recommend learning NOW what your options are if the low-voltage battery dies and neither your phone nor key card will unlock the vehicle. You don’t want to be trying to figure it out on Google while someone you love is trapped inside a rapidly heating car.
I’ve owned the car and supported Tesla, but I was extremely disappointed by the lack of ownership or accountability after this happened. After this experience, particularly the way Tesla handled it afterward, my next vehicle will probably be a Rivian.
Hopefully sharing this prevents another Tesla owner from finding themselves in the same situation.

Bought a used Tesla Model Y in April.
Covered ~6250 miles in 5 mths.
29% charging at Tesla Superchargers average 39p/kWh
Other major charging networks would've cost me double!!
An EXTRA £254
This is why @Tesla makes more sense than every other #EV when public charging
5 months ago I reluctantly bought a used @Tesla Model Y Dual Motor as insurance against events in the Straight of Hormuz
I've done ~6000 miles & saved ~£600 in 'fuel'

There has been much speculation around how much the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final race of the 2021 season, was manipulated. The official line is a “human error” by the Race Director in the heat of the moment lead to the regulations being applied in a new, never used before or since, interpretation of the safety car regulations whilst under pressure to prevent the race finishing under Safety Car conditions.
The official investigation kept the focus very tight to only what happened in the final laps without digging into the wider, surrounding circumstances. That investigation resulted in the Race Director being removed from his position and signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement preventing the world from knowing their version of the truth. This strongly suggests that there are secrets surrounding Abu Dhabi 2021 and that the Formula 1 authorities want something kept hidden.
As Benjamin Franklin, a Founding Father of the United States of America (USA), said "Three can keep a secret, if two of them are dead". It is only a matter of time before the true extent of the manipulation is revealed.
