President William Ruto’s life in politics has been one long storm.

He has never known calm waters since he joined politics 29 years ago.

In 1997, he walked in as a nobody. Moi tried to slam the door on him. He had no family name but only ambition and a village boy’s hunger.

In 2002, he stood by Moi’s project and watched humiliation crush them when Kibaki’s wave swept the nation.

By 2005, he locked arms with Raila to fight Kibaki’s referendum.

They won, but victory was brief. ODM was born, and he became a Pentagon soldier.

In 2007, Raila lost after the presidential outcome was bungled, and Kenya was thrown into chaos.

Raila later shook hands with Kibaki, and Ruto was kicked out, alone.

They dragged him to The Hague, branded him an ICC indictee, and tried to bury his name under crimes against humanity.

He walked back home, dusted off the dirt, and rose as Deputy President.

He gave Uhuru two victories. In return, Uhuru kept him close only to dump him once the second term was safe.

The state turned its guns on him. His office budget and duties were slashed.

His allies were hunted, and Uhuru himself stood on podiums and called him every name in the book.

By some miracle, Ruto scraped past Raila in 2022, only 200k votes standing between him and political death.

Even then, the war didn’t stop. They poured every resource into breaking him.

Every TV station, every headline, every radio show was weaponized for smear campaigns.

In 2024, the knife came from his own house. His own deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, turned. The man who should have guarded his back joined the enemies trying to saw off his legs.

One year to the next election, and still not a kind word. Not even for the affordable houses rising from the slums, or the roads finally cutting through areas long ignored.

No president, anywhere on earth, has been insulted so openly by his own leaders and citizens.

They have branded Ruto with every filthy name they can invent.

To them, it was just another “PR stunt.”

Fast forward, machines are on the ground, murram is turning to tarmac, and silence has hit the usual press conference warriors.

The only thing they’ve constructed? Tweets and tantrums.

By the time they realize Ruto delivered, they’ll be standing on a smooth highway wondering, “How did this happen?”

Answer: While they were shouting, he was DELIVERING THE PLAN yaani KAZI BILA BREAK.

I don't know how much I will say this,

I have declined inducements and bribes from politicians and NGOs to push their agenda.

I have been approached to host spaces, promote ideologies and push hashtags, but as long as they don't align with my values, I decline.

Government bloggers have requested me to push hashtags and throw cold water on protests, but I declined.

I have been approached by media houses and organizations for interviews, but I have declined.

Probably they now see me as a weird, uncooperative and primitive person who doesn't want to make money from the influence I have on X.

But, I respect my followers and love my motherland and therefore I cannot renege on the loyalty pledge for thirty pieces of silver.

I'd rather remain alone than auction my soul at the altar of hypocrisy.

I revere discipline, hard work and honesty.

Integrity remains the software of my character.
