GENERIC MEDICINES ARE NOT ‘CHEAP MEDICINES FOR POOR PEOPLE’!

Generic medicines are not medical solutions for Low Income countries but global solutions for reducing healthcare costs.

They are quality equivalent health products and technologies at up to 80% lower cost with same effectiveness as the original branded products.

They are a pathway to #UHC

If we position them as solutions for Low Income countries, we miss the point and erode the trust on their quality and position them to be seen as ‘cheap medicines for poor people’
