Eleven officers were promoted to the rank of sergeant and three sergeants were promoted as lieutenants.

Pittsburgh Police held a promotions ceremony at headquarters for one new sergeant and three new lieutenants.
Sergeants Richard Zett, Robert Monticelli, and Peter Bechtold were promoted to lieutenant, while Officer Joshua Stinebaugh was promoted to sergeant.

@colin_dunlap It is important to explain what those numbers look like operationally. We had 181 officers working until 230-3a. From 3a-7a we had 32 officers working and 37 calls. So <2 calls for every officer in 4 hrs. Consistent with most overnights.

Wanda Duncan, Lori McCartney, Jeffery Abraham, Anthony Palermo, and Brian Schmitt were promoted to commander.

Officer Alston has prior law enforcement experience with Edgewood Borough PD and will now complete three months of field training after undergoing PBP-specific training at the Academy this summer.
