We are launching @app_illoca Tracing Paper today. illoca aims to bring an AI-first and AI-aided experience to architects. We are not just building fancy demos. We aim to provide real AI assistants that help eliminate the boring manual clicks and menu doom-scrolling. We want to integrate our AI into the actual workflow and help architects to materialize their creativity with minimal effort.

I am a believer that AI must be human-centric. Aesthetic taste, craftsmanship, and those final touches are what elevate a design into art. However, discussions about AI in design often carry a disheartening sentiment: the doomsday of creativity. AI research always grinds for novelty. The advancements are supposed to marry the best of two worlds (AI and design), and push creativity to the next level. Unfortunately, I observe the majority of the research remains focused on soulless AI mass production with limited controllability. This observation drives my PhD research and my work at Illoca. We put special focus on AI assistive tooling for the creative process, rather than making the decisions for the creator. Architects draft the vision, and our AI clears the friction.
Moreover, a primary pain point of AI in AEC is its data-driven nature. The lack of high-quality AEC data restricts most AI tools to merely rendering fancy images, rather than reading and understanding structural data. This is insufficient to resolve the sophisticated specifications and logistical requirements. Yet, this is exactly where the actual production bottleneck lies. Such a limited scope makes no real impact on the actual production. In AEC, the work is not just between a person and their AI assistants, but also includes the entire group of professionals from different industries behind the scenes. The need for collaboration shapes the industry to use structural and descriptive formats today, such as architectural drawings and CAD. At Illoca, we are building an AI system natively on these well-established representations; reading, thinking, and collaborating with you and your team.
This is just our first step, and there is more to come.
Excited to share our recent work on navigable 3D scene creation from satellite images. Amazing work by @jayinnn !

Happy to share our recent work on real-time feed-forward reconstruction of deformable 3DGS from a monocular video.
It takes only 0.6 seconds to convert a 24 FPS video to 3DGS with explicit deformation.

At Creative Vision, Snap Research, we’re excited to announce our 2025 call for interns. Our past interns have built some of the world’s best image, video, and 3D generators. We’ve introduced new personalization methods and developed the world’s fastest mobile foundational image models.
This year, we’ll release even better video and 4D generators, faster and higher quality mobile foundational models, and stronger personalization frameworks. These breakthroughs empower the experiences of hundreds of millions of Snapchatters daily!
Wondering what’s in store for 2025? Why not join us and build it yourself? We’re looking for highly motivated and experienced candidates for 16-24 week internships in multiple locations. Applicants should have at least one first-author publication in a top conference (CVPR, NeurIPS, ECCV, ICCV, etc.).

(1/5) We just released our new paper Virtual Pets!
Recent generative models are getting us a bit closer to a fully synthetic virtual environment. BUT!! Isn't it too boring without a cat😾? Here we go!

Me: Can you draw a very normal image?
ChatGPT: Here is a very normal image depicting a tranquil suburban street scene during the daytime.
Me: Not bad, but can you go more normal than that?

We just released our new paper "DreaMo: Articulated 3D Reconstruction From A Single Casual Video"
With a *single* video, DreaMo reconstructs the 3D shape and discovers the articulation for easy posing.
Video intro: https://t.co/lhdmSKeIak
Project: https://t.co/vGKnwdS05C
Our DreaMo leverages the diffusion model to hallucinate invisible parts and to enhance the geometry. Along with several tailored regulations, DreaMo recovers the articulated 3D shape from a single video!
Our codes are coming soon!
