Spacewalks are massively demanding on the astronauts carrying them out. In this talk, Lauren Church and Chloe Mohanadass investigate the provision of nutritional supplements for consumption during EVAs and how these could increase performance. #StudentSpaceSymposium
Inside this container, a new method of waste disposal is being tested.
Wax worms have been known to digest polyethylene, which makes up about 1/3 of the plastic worldwide. This study aboard the @Space_Station is testing if these worms could help dispose of plastic waste in space.
