I took over the projections for @FantasyPts two years ago
We track our projection accuracy across all players on the DK Main Slate each week and compare to other major projection providers across the industry
I had a strong first season in 2024 but not the best
After a really strong Week 18 FantasyPoints finished the NFL regular season with the highest correlation of projected DK points to actual DK points
Projections are really really good throughout the industry so the edges are minor but they can make a big difference in a singular week
People think projections is largely just a model that spits out numbers but there is so much subjective stuff that goes into it. Coaching tendencies, depth chart moves, transactions, etc. all require a ton of time analyzing and deciding what is real and what is just noise
Hope this helps put FantasyPoints on the map as a serious DFS content and data provider
@PSidikman That’s fine. Defense season long projections are extremely flimsy because units aren’t sticky year to year. Basically just a blend of how often they produced sacks/turnovers and what their opponents allowed the previous year
Yeah maybe Cirie played too hard to maximize her chances of winning if she was in the final 3 cause that’s all the matters when in reality she beats any combination of players
Hard to put yourself in that mindset though and extremely dangerous to do so cause ask Aubrey that and she’d say don’t assume you can beat anyone
Yeah I think Tiff has a shot to win for sure. I’d just hope Rizo can point out her serious flaws in her strategic game
Cirie knows Rizo won’t win this game though so I’m not sure she ever can foresee taking him out as an option. She has no clue he’d easily flip on her like why she knows about these other players
Post-NFL Draft Biggest Projection Winners:
Rashee Rice WR14 to WR7
Matthew Golden WR72 to WR62
Christian Watson WR37 to WR24
Tony Pollard/Tyjae Spears RB27/RB39
Cam Skattebo RB41 to RB28
Xavier Worthy WR68 to WR56
Josh Downs WR45 to WR35
Looks like the Bears DJ Moore RB package will be back in 2026
Rookie WR Zavion Thomas is expected to take snaps at RB along with being a WR that can take the top off a defense per the Bears organization
The Ravens took a pair of WRs and TEs in the 2026 NFL draft, but the way they discussed the players was very different
For Ja'Kobi Lane they said they view him as a RZ threat
For Elijah Sarratt they said they view him as a big slot player
For Matthew Hibner he was coached by Jesse Minter at Michigan and viewed as a explosive receiver
For Josh Cuevas they said they view him as a competitive blocker
Dave Canales on new Panthers' WR Chris Brazzell
Brazzell's vertical presence can take the top off the defense and create open space for Tet McMillan, Xavier Legette, and Jalen Coker
Sounds like Brazzell is the cardio guy for this offense but they really did need someone with serious speed
Sounds like the Ravens view Ja'Kobi Lane as the replacement for the type of stuff DeAndre Hopkins was doing for them last season
Eric DeCosta said the Ravens intentionally sought a larger receiver to build a more versatile room and mentioned that the choice was "by design" to find an "X receiver" who could play outside and contrast with the team's smaller, faster targets
Best/Worst picks using @BGWhitefield's Big Board scores from Day 2 of the NFL Draft
The Browns with a really strong Day 2 having 2 Positive Pick Values in Boston and McNeil-Warren
Chris Bell the overall best value for the day to MIA
@blake_becker@FantasyPts It’s baked into our AI tool but we do also hope to have a dedicated dynasty trade tool in the future too
