@1WorldExplained @vivamjm Many EU airports at holiday destinations popular with UK travellers never designed to accept number of non EU visitors now arriving thx to Brexit, eg Lanzarote airport now grinds to a halt at peak times for UK flights. It takes a lot of time and € to redesign them.

Bottled water still cultural preference in many parts of Europe bc unsafe water within living memory, but in France tap water always offered in restaurants when unthinkable 15-20 years ago.

SMEs exporting foods to EU private customers lost all that business overnight bc trade barriers in form of SPS checks and customs charges.

Goods would still flow freely across the channel without regulatory or customs barriers so SMEs wouldn't be restricted to local UK market and UK customers would still have more choice in the shops and better chance of shops having stock on shelves. etc etc...

IHT is one way of catching that capital gain when the owner no longer has use for the property bc they're dead.
