Firefighters who served alongside Barry Martin were part of his final journey today as a Turntable Ladder was used to carry his coffin.
Hundreds of people gathered in Edinburgh to pay their respects as the cortege made its way along the Royal Mile to St Giles’ Cathedral.

Yesterday the Regional Committee for the North East endorsed the Executive Council position and recommendation to accept the offer on pay from employers.

The FBU Executive Council has unanimously recommended that members accept a revised pay offer. The ballot will close in early March.
We got this offer by standing united and voting for strike action. But we won't sugar-coat it either.
