Threading Polymers—Blends of polymers with microporous particles are crucial for many modern technologies, but quantifying and controlling the threading of polymers is challenging. In their recent work reported in @J_A_C_S, Kaur, DelRe, et al. propose two new strategies. One strategy utilizes NMR to directly monitor polymer chains and quantify their diffusivities. The second strategy shows that threading rates can be adjusted across at least six orders of magnitude. Read the full article:

Thrilled to share our latest research published in JACS - my first postdoctoral project!
Grateful to have collaborated with such an amazing team on this work!
My group's first paper is now published! We show how to quantify and control polymer threading into sub-2 nm micropores using simple strategies. We anticipate that these results will be impactful for a wide variety of applied and fundamental directions.

I just won an Early Career Program award from the US Army to fund one of my projects! We’ve now raised over $2mil in external funding in the 2 years since opening my lab. We’re excited to use this money to produce great new materials for both military and civilian applications!
CUNY ASRC Professors Pinar Ayata (Neuroscience Initiative) and @Chris__DelRe (@ASRCnanoscience) lead groundbreaking efforts to tackle Alzheimer's disease and plastic pollution with cutting-edge science. https://t.co/7NoAL0pDfo
Congrats to Professor @Chris__DelRe, @ASRCnanoscience, for receiving an @NSF CAREER award in the Division of Materials Research for his project "Peptide-based plastics with customizable properties." 👏👏👏
Thrilled to announce the upcoming Bio-Inspired Green (BIG) Science & Technology Symposium co-organized with Rein Ulijn and @Chris__DelRe! Speakers include @karen_wooley, Sam Stupp and more. Join us in NYC April 18-19! https://t.co/1msVeFUQEO
Well I’m glad to say that my last piece of Ph.D. work is published as the front cover for the current issue of @PolymChem. Thank you for the opportunity!

We're looking for a new assistant professor to join our Structural Biology team at the CUNY Advanced Science Research Center @asrc_gc! info here: https://t.co/2DyBAajpTo (1/n)
One of our papers from my postdoc tenure is now available at JACS! We show important results to design "porous water," but I am particularly excited about the ramifications for understanding how polymers thread into micropores. Stay tuned! https://t.co/PbbtzEC9gv
Congratulations to my first two PhD students—Lakshika Malwana and Kenny Barriales—for winning this prestigious fellowship! Great start to their scientific careers.
