No person running for presidency or who could run for presidency today has Peter Obi demonstrated honesty in high public office.

EXACTLY! This is part of the question they don't want people to ask. How did the alleged fake agency's budget passed all the appropriation gates undetected? How many other undetected fake agencies do we have in the budget currently and how many existed in the past? It's insane!

That's not the question.

Nobody is asking the Budget Office whether the money was spent.

A so-called fake agency made it into Nigeria's 2026 Appropriation Act and got over ₦1.3 billion allocated to it.

The Budget Office says the money was never released because the controls worked.

Fine.

But how did an agency the government now says does not exist get an official budget code, an establishment approval and recruitment waiver, make it into the Executive Budget, pass through the National Assembly and get signed into law?

Who was supposed to catch that?

This is bigger than the ₦1.3 billion.

If the controls worked only after the allocation had already made it into the Appropriation Act, then we need to ask a bigger question about the controls that govern how things get into the budget in the first place.

Three front runner aspirants for the office of President of the federal republic…

One aspirants team is lobbying the US to review a longstanding case of money laundering and drug related offences forfeiture…

The others team is responding by reminding the former of longstanding allegations/ case of bribery…in the US.

Both have hired lobbyists.

Third Candidate stands clear of any scandals…money laundering, corrupt enrichment, bribery or otherwise. Has persisted in saying that any credible allegations of malfeasance while in office will result in him stepping down from the race. Has made the same challenge for years now and still…crickets.

And you say you don’t know who the best candidate is ???

Much Ado about Kwankwanso Interview

Sometimes you guys should try and maintain some rigor in thinking. If you believe in zoning and say “Let the south finish its term and power should go back to the north in 2031”. What does that mean? It means that any southerner coming to the presidency will only serve for one term.

This man has been saying he will do one term only to keep faith with zoning, which is a critical element of Nigeria’s political stability. He is now doing what he promised and you are crying blue murder.

Before Peter Obi came out what stopped selfless Igbos from running for presidency? What? It is now you guys realize you have not been president for 100 yrs and must do 8 years?

Why cannot your great Igbo leaders like Emeka Ihedioha, Otti, Osita, Abaribe etc not run for presidency and do 8 yrs? Why are you lot begrudging Peter Obi for respecting the zoning arrangement?

He said he believes in zoning. Zoning requires that the north takes back power in 2031. If 4 years is too short for you, then come out and run for presidency and do 8 years.

I will never forget your kindness to my beloved parents. Thank you for the respect you showed them, for your many visits to Abba, where you gave to Daddy and Mummy the most precious gifts: your time and your attention.

Thank you for walking this still-unbearable journey of grief with my siblings and me.

I remember how you regaled Daddy and Mummy with your stories until we started joking about your obsession with the “GDP of Malaysia.” But your obsession spoke of hope: your hope for Nigeria, your belief in what Nigeria could be. A belief that has always been practical, grounded in numbers and in reality.

I remember when you came to support me as I was being honored by the United Nations Foundation in New York, and I teased you about the inexpensive hotel you were staying in, and you shrugged and said, “it’s just a place to sleep, why do I need to be in an expensive place?”

And then only days later, you once again exhibited your incredible generosity to the causes you believe in, and it reminded me of all the hospitals and schools and churches you have supported over the years, and often without fanfare. You have always been clear about what your priorities are, what matters to you, what you believe should matter, and that is deeply admirable.

I have always admired your humane pragmatism, how you are willing to talk to almost anyone if it will bring about a good outcome.
And how you believe in certain ideals without being an ideologue.
And how you see people as people, knowing that human value is not measured in material terms.
And how you are able to laugh at yourself, and laugh when I tease you about your ‘one shoe and one shirt.’
And how you have always been consistent in the core of who you are.

Thank you for your compassion and your circumspection. For your honesty and your humour. For your willingness to acknowledge flaws, yours and others’, knowing that nobody is perfect. For your fuss-free kindness and your humility that is never performative.

I am inspired by your intellectual curiosity, your eagerness to learn, your genuine love of education (which is why you sought out, and honored, Daddy all those years ago when you learned that he was Nigeria’s first professor of statistics.)

Sometimes it is the simplest of language that captures the most complex of things, and so I will end with simplicity: You are a good man. You are loved. You are appreciated.
