Your Core Funding agreement has made a large number of ECCE services insolvent. I presume you will rectify this immediately as any Eros will fail as you are forcing these services out of businesses @dcediy @nealerichmond@Toibin1@WhitmoreJen@CarrollJennifer@OireachtasNews
6 days since we held our protest outside Leinster House. Not a word from anyone. ECCE have been ignored and left behind. 4 services today In one area of Dublin. Do we need to protest outside the Department? @Toibin1@nealerichmond@WhitmoreJen we need your help
Anyone can follow this simple example of why ECCE Preschools need more funding. It's a poorly understood subject, but this should clarify. Message me for any questions and I'll be glad to help.

Its so important that the foundations are right. Unfortunately ECCE services have been chronically underfunded for many years and this has rocked the foundation. The government and the department have failed ECCE providers through this new Core Funding .
@EmmaGleeson7@MandyCorcoran22@CircleTimeCork@MurphyDunne @dcediy @rodericogorman So many comments-take a leap of faith, wait for Budget 23,trust the Dept, work together. All from people who don’t “own” an Ecce service. It’s odd businesses are treated like this & others shouting from sidelines telling us it’sok 🤯Hopefully we won’t end up at AnBord Pleanála AGAIN
@MurphyDunne Not all services have the option of changing service type. What about services who offer an afternoon session to meet the demands of the community? Will they just turn those children away and offer a part time service?
@MurphyDunne@rodericogorman@Paschald It’s going to be challenging retaining staff in ECCE. No additional funding under CF and services were struggling already. I agree preschool only will be a thing of the past.
ECCE will be a thing of the past. Maybe this is what you want. But these service in rural and urban areas service communities and are a lifeline for a lot of families. Include ECCE services in Core Funding and up the capitation to €100 per child. @rodericogorman@Paschald
ECCE services are the looser’s with this Core Funding. You think breaking even is ok. Well it isn’t. It is going to damage businesses and it will close small services in the coming year. Why are you not addressing our concerns @rodericogorman
@MurphyDunne@rodericogorman Everyone acknowledges the spiralling costs in every sector. ECCE is no different. We rely solely on government funding but yet are being told we have to do with what we have been in receipt of for the past 6 years. Funding which we highlighted as being inadequate. Please listen.
It would be good to see the department working with us to renegotiate a better deal for ECCE services. Breaking even will damage businesses as all costs have risen this year and will continue to rise.#respectECCE
@eilishbalfe @montigirl We need to develop a plan to address structural issues of #earlyyears pay. Not only are salaries too low but many roles are seasonal and part time. All of these characteristics must be addressed if we want to continue to attract and retain well qualified staff. #corefunding
@MurphyDunne@rodericogorman @dcediy @Paschald@mmcgrathtd I wonder why I bother opening my doors to provide an ECCE service. CF will only increase profits for crèche chains like this while my service is getting €0. Something seriously wrong here.
So this is what is going on. Meanwhile ECCE service small and medium are getting ready to close doors. @rodericogorman @dcediy @Paschald @mmcgrathtd
This highlights how unbalanced our ECEC SAC policy is in Ireland. Large chains profiteering at the expense of families/educators, that tars the entire sector. Disadvantaged services struggle with sustainability under NCS doing our best for vulnerable children
Our system is broken
Today we are call on our minister to come out and meet with the provider’s who are unhappy with CF. We need to look at the data the FECP have gathered. It’s very clear how the ECCE service will struggle for sustainability. @rodericogorman@FederationEarly#SaveSessionalServices
