The rocket is stacked. ✅
The Orion spacecraft with its launch abort system is stacked atop the Space Launch System rocket. Launch of the Artemis II mission around the Moon is targeted for early next year.
The Artemis II crew, teams at @NASAKennedy, @NASA_Johnson, and @NASA_Marshall participated in the first joint simulation for the Artemis II mission. This sim allowed teams to verify timing and coordination of prelaunch procedures through handover to Mission Control after launch.
We're going to check out the far side of the Moon!🌙🚀
Along the way, the @NASAArtemis II crew will help us learn more about how deep space missions influence astronauts' health by exploring its effects on the human body, mind, behavior, & cells. Learn more: https://t.co/4i1Nlhqh1n
🚨#BREAKING: United Airlines has halted all U.S. departures due to a nationwide system failure affecting aircraft load calculations. The disruption has led to a complete standstill, with all flights grounded and no takeoffs or movement expected until the issue is resolved. United anticipates the issue will persist throughout the evening, with frustrated passengers reporting being stuck on the tarmac.
Early next year, humans will fly around the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years.
Our Artemis II crew is training hard for their historic mission. Last week, they suited up to run tests inside the Orion spacecraft that they'll ride to space: https://t.co/K0dzWEWSRW
The Artemis II crew recently completed three days of testing and training inside the Orion spacecraft at @NASAKennedy. They performed suit fit and leak checks, communication checks, interfaced with equipment, and simulated launch and flight scenarios. https://t.co/xILo2Abgea
3 years & we’re only scratching the surface!
On our 3rd science anniversary, we’re looking at one “toe bean” of the Cat’s Paw Nebula. This active star-forming region is revealing more about how young stars are shaping their surroundings!

The AxEMU continues to make strides in testing, showcasing its performance in a range of environments. Axiom Space's @Astro_Wakata became the first crewmember to test the next-gen spacesuit in NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory, bringing us one step closer to humanity's return to the Moon.
#BlueGhost's lower deck is undergoing structural testing for Mission 2 to the Moon! Built with the same advanced carbon composites as our launch vehicles, every component of our lunar lander is rigorously tested to endure the extreme conditions from launch all the way to lunar touchdown. https://t.co/sslH27Q4e3
