Working from home is difficult when the place where your chair is meant to be happens to be in a sunbeam…

It took the combined knowledge of both me (degree in Ancient History) and @jamescram (web developer) to understand this XKCD comic. I think it might be a bit niche… https://t.co/8y8gmaYU7A

@BellaHarcourt Oh yes. Looking at it now is physically painful!

Update: the rug has now vanished. Starting to think it was all a strange hallucination…

[Claire Rendell @ClaireRendell]

Woke up this morning to find that someone had left a rug on top of our car. An actual, massive rug. It’s too early in the day to deal with this sort of weirdness.

Took the cat to the vet. Cat now has a small bald patch. Cat is therefore sulking.

New game: Make a movie marathon
Three movies, they cannot be from the same franchise. Each one has to be a semi logical sequel to the previous one.
1. Hellboy (2004)
2. Cabin in the Woods
3. Cloverfield

1. Deep Blue Sea
2. Finding Nemo
3. The Shape of Water

1. Apollo 13
2. Gravity
3. The Martian

The word ‘rustic’ covers a multitude of sins… As will icing sugar, hopefully.

Sausage casserole in the oven, roaring fire in the hearth, cider in hand. Doing autumn fucking right.

@Scubbo I’ve read manga that was flipped horizontally when it was translated to English. It was really confusing when they stopped doing it halfway through the series due to a change in publisher!

As an ex-historian, this news story makes me really sad. As a sci-fi fan, I’m pretty sure this guy is carrying a jar full of face huggers… https://t.co/p1hWgWyMI8
