A personal brand isn’t about followers.
It’s about owning a valuable word or phrase in the market.
@simonsinek is the WHY guy
@BreneBrown is the VULNERABILITY woman
@MrBeast is the YOUTUBE guy
@susancain is the INTROVERT woman
@garyvee is the HUSTLE guy
@AlexHormozi is the $100M guy
@tferriss is the 4-Hour guy
@EstherPerel is the RELATIONSHIPS woman
@zachpogrob is the OBSESSION guy
Before you try to get followers, figure out what word or phrase you want to own.
Then every piece of content you put out is a brick in your pyramid of owning that word. 🧱
- It gives you FOCUS on what you talk about.
- Which helps massively with CONSISTENCY.
- And it gives your new followers CLARITY on who you are.
Focus + Clarity = Growth
I love this, but for me, Step 2a and 2b aren't "what did you say in Slack over the last week?" ...it's the loads of great content I already have that hasn't been customized for each channel and promoted (or even published.)
- Some of it is from keynotes sitting here on my private hard drive.
- Some are banger podcasts that were never promoted well, etc.

I've been thinking about and tinkering with this "Content Machine" idea for a while (I don't want to sell it, I just want to use it) ... so if you want, I'm happy to show you my thoughts and be a warm test case.
I literally have a hard drive sitting here and a list of stuff ready to chop up and publish. (What my "Content Team" would do ... if I had one.)
