After five years I finally defended my PhD! Turns out bacteriophages aren't the only ones who can thrive under selective pressure! 😎🦠 Thanks to everyone on my journey for their neverending support!
We are very happy to close #ViBioM2022 by announcing the Best ECR Talk Award which goes to @SpyrosLytras and three Best Poster Awards that go to @nishimura_luca, @CliaPas1, and @gabriellovate 🎉👏🥳🍾
@DrewMack90 Hi Drew! My proteins are between 800 and 1300 amino acids. I found segmentation in smaller parts gave inaccurate results for the trimeric structure with alphafold.
Does anyone here know if there are programs similar to #Alphafold-multimer structure prediction? As the #tailfiber#protein of #phage are so large, I don't seem to find an ideal tool to visualize it's complete homo-trimeric structure (I already have the tertiary structure).
Hi everyone,
With my masterthesis about antibiotic resistance, I am selected to win a public price of ie-net organisation. You can help me by clicking on the video (https://t.co/rQV8u5ilXr) and give it a thumbs up! :)
I'm happy and proud to share PhaLP with the world: a database of phage lytic proteins (https://t.co/Tjzl4Mcj90). PhaLP provides the enzybiotics community with a central data hub to explore the rich diversity of natural phage lytic proteins and find new enzybiotic candidates.
Many thanks to all 645 participants of our Flemish 'Bacteriophage & alternatives' survey. The lucky few who won their own personalized 3D printed #phage are (as you can see) very proud!!

Sidenote: Don't worry, the plants are safe. This tiny army of phages can only kill bacteria!
