My therapist dropped a gem: you can't spend your life avoiding heartbreak or bad things from happening. You have to condition yourself to have appropriate emotional responses but learn to keep moving forward.
someone once told me “emotional intelligence is the discipline of sitting with a feeling long enough to understand it before you hand it to someone else” and that honestly changed how i move.
A generation who grew up watching online p*rn are somehow expected to file that away, to fall in love in the real world, to be tender and gentle and loyal, to know how.
We pretend it has always been this way, because it is too painful to accept that it hasn’t.
Because one is a choice made by a tiny group of nuns and fringe Christians, and the other is a law imposed on every Muslim woman, backed by punishment, and violence. It was forced on me when I turned 8!!!!!
Equating the two is not nuance. It is a deliberate propaganda trick used in the Muslim world to whitewash coercion and sell it as piety.
BREAKING
Mark Carney’s Immigration Minister doesn’t consider healthcare capacity in her immigration plan.
When asked how many more people our healthcare system can support, she said it wasn't “a fair question.”
Not a fair question?
6.5 million Canadians don’t have a doctor.
They call It Islamophobia we call it…👇
In Iran I was told if I don’t wear hijab, I get kicked out from school, I get jailed, lashes, beaten up & kicked out from my country. In the West I’m told, sharing these stories will cause Islamophobia.

"On Twitter/X, 97 percent of political posts come from the most-active 10 percent of users. These users often grow their audience by expressing the most extreme opinions and by 'nut-picking the most outrageous opinions of the other side." https://t.co/6mzkAMCBBS
🚨 Aging breakthrough just dropped
Scientists found a hidden switch in the brain’s hypothalamus: a protein called Menin. When it declines, inflammation spikes, memory fades, skin thins, bones weaken. In mice, restoring Menin or supplementing with D-serine reversed these effects.
We might be looking at a path to actually slow or even reverse aging.
You don’t need a perfect partner. You need someone who can regulate their emotions, admit when they fuck up, & actually sit with uncomfortable conversations without shutting down, flipping it on you, or throwing low blows every time shit gets real.
The murder of Charlie Kirk threatens the fabric of our entire society. Free speech is the backbone of our way of life, and when we murder any person solely for the words they say, all we do is convince the next generation that discussion is pointless and violence is their only recourse.
Because secure attachment doesn’t only exist between two people. It can exist across an entire culture. It’s what keeps us together in peace even when we face conflict. And if we shatter our societal attachment with evil deeds and make it impossible to communicate and solve problems together, there will be no peaceful options left.
I’m especially haunted by the moment Charlie’s children learn that their father will never come home because someone murdered him. His children and all the children of the world are always watching us. They are learning from us what it takes to be safe. And right now we are teaching them nothing but fear.
