Nick Saban’s goals for building a team.
1. Get the right guys on the bus.
2. Get them in the right seats.
3. Get the wrong guys off the bus.
“Mediocre people don’t like high-achievers and high-achievers don’t like mediocre people.”

Nick Saban said, "You get up every day, you're entitled to: Nothing."
"Nothing is acceptable, but your best."
You get what you earn in life.
It means show up, do the work, and earn it every day.
Your thoughts drive what you want - your actions drive what you get.
Here’s a nice drill to help your OL from popping up in their pass set that we love to use at @5AS1OL.
Put a medball under their down hand. They must “roll” the ball along with them along the angle of their sets, but they must keep it inline with their shoulder.
You’ll find that if the athlete is rising in their set, the ball will lag behind or not move at all.
OR if the athlete is opening up that shoulder, the ball will continue to roll outside of their frame.
Remember this will not look perfect! This video is the athletes first time, and there are lots of things to clean up.
The important thing is that the athlete feels what it’s like to move horizontally without “bounding” or “popping up”.
🚨Run Game Emphasis🚨
-We really focused on double teams this week with inside zone. Our OL stressed staying hip/hip communicating to LB. We worked skip pulls staying tight off the hip of the tackle on double team. We worked different variations of FTTG🔥🔥🔥
So much wisdom for being a young coach
“You have to get to a mode where you are solely worried about doing your job and being responsible for that with your teammates. Anything else you lose focus on what actually matters.”

Michigan Offensive Coordinator/OL Coach Sherrone Moore explaining why they had to rethink how they were teaching double teams after the 2020 season & why they now use Gallop technique...
- Gain depth & width
- Strike the hip with same foot/same shoulder
- Explode through hips
