After a coaching meeting, the first thing I ask myself is whether I think my client is feeling more optimistic about what they can do. Do they feel more empowered? Did they reconnect with their vision, values, and abilities?

Next time you review a standard, don’t jump to a quick conclusion about how your traditional assessment is the only way to measure if the student has met the standard. Instead, ask yourself, “Is there any other way my students could show me they have met this standard?” #UDL
