@JLucroy20 We throw live BP to 5 groups every single day on field BP! Done it for years and will keep doing it as long as body allows and assistants can chip in! Machines in cages for velo and breaking balls in the rotation daily too, hit .330 w 60 more BB than K’s, 52 G 🤷🏽♂️ #livebp
Tough teams do 3 things better than everyone else:
1. They communicate
2. They hold each other accountable
3. They keep showing up, no matter what
It’s not just a mindset.
It’s your standard.
One word that changed everything for me?
"Muditā"
It means finding joy in others' success. Celebrating when your teammates, friends, and family win as if their victory is your own.
As an AD, I constantly remind our athletes that commitment is being someone your teammates can count on whether you play a lot or a little. It is showing up when it is not convenient and choosing your team over yourself. Everyone wants to win. Commitment is doing what it actually takes to win.
Joe Mazzulla: “The greatest gift you can have as a coach is to have players that have a high, competitive character, care about winning, and want to get better.”
Winning becomes possible when nobody is obsessed with being the reason for it.
No one fighting for the spotlight.
No one worried about who gets mentioned.
Just people locked in, doing their job, making the extra effort, and putting the team above themselves.
Tom Izzo is asked by @outkick’s @RealDanZak about media ripping him for being too tough on players and Charles Barkley’s defense of him, gives phenomenal answer on accountability. Watch this:
"Society has gotten soft in a lot of ways... The real world is tough and cruel... I'm preparing my players for life."
The teachers and coaches that impact lives the most are the ones who pushed you beyond your comfort level.
The real world is tough; our job is to make sure our players are equipped to handle it.
"Life is all about habits and choices and decisions.
When you have the right habits, you tend to make better decisions and choices.
It's going to go a long way in determining what kind of person you are and how successful you are."

THE BILL HAS DROPPED!
This is historic for every coach in Florida 🌴
For the first time, a bill finally gives school districts full authority to pay coaches what they deserve. No more outdated rules. No more limits. And very loud for the people in the back: unions will no longer control athletic stipends 🚫🗣️
The power goes directly back to the districts and the communities that know their coaches best.
This bill is going to elevate the entire state:
• Competitive compensation from Pensacola to Miami
• Stronger hiring and retention of elite coaches
• More stability for programs and student athletes
• Freedom for districts to use salaries, hourly rates, bonuses, and incentives
• Real pay for real work
This bill opens the door for real wages, real recognition, and real hope for the men and women who build our student-athletes every single day.
This is the future @PayFLCoaches has fought for. This is the future coaches deserve. Florida just stepped into a new era.
Thank you @csime90, @AdamAndersonFL, @RonDeSantis for standing up for our high school coaches in Florida 💥

Clayton Kershaw closed his opening remarks at his retirement press conference with his favorite Bible verse.
"Colossians 3:23 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as you're working for the Lord, not for men."
A wise coach once said, "If you have to beg them to play, you will have to beg them to stay." You don't beg a Wolfe to hunt... The Standard is the standard.
