Your trainer is no different than a piano teacher. 🎶🎵 Take the new skill you learned and now go rep it (game speed please) a thousand times! A single workout is not designed to replace volume shooting!! Reps matter 🏀
Isiah Thomas on the @dpshow... "There are a lot of coaches, but there are not a lot of teachers."
I could not agree more!
Just because someone is called a "coach" does not mean he/she knows how to teach the sport and its fundamentals?
If Mom or Dad are working overtime and picking up extra shifts to make your AAU/Hoop Dreams come true. Then you better play hard all the time.
I don’t care if it’s 8am…
If you won’t do it for yourself..
Do it for the people who believe in you and sacrifice to make this work.
We have a problem.
Somewhere along the line, “Playing multiple sports is good!” turned into, “you have to play all of your sports simultaneously year round!”
We’ve lost the plot. Kids cannot play a baseball, basketball, and football season all at the same time.
Incoming Freshman:
Just a quick piece of advice for you. Nothing is mandatory:
-Summer workouts aren’t
-Conditioning/Weights aren’t
-Getting up extra work on your own isn’t
-Watching film of yourself/opponents
None of it is mandatory. BUT… neither is playing time.
🤷🏾♀️
HS players need to start taking a hard look at NAIA basketball. Great facilities and a free education. Plus many have NIL. Not that of higher programs but still free money. And you can play right away in many cases. The way the portal and NIL is on D1 scale is killing HS kids
High School players who aspire to play in college please Attend college basketball games.
If you think you’re too good for D3 then go to open gym your first ten minutes will change.

Rick Pitino to @TheFieldOf68 if NCAA grants everyone a 5th year of eligibility - including this senior class.
“It would be pure chaos. Most teams have used 80% of their NIL. Next year makes sense. Now don't get me wrong, I would love to have my seniors back but our NIL is just about finished. … Unless Mike (Repole) wins the Derby lol.”
