Sharing our @MCScommunicates Prepare to Teach Cycle - our system for using HQIM really well in classrooms - was the perfect way to start a Friday and end the week. A huge thanks to @QuinenaBell and @MelissaJ0hnson for all of the collaboration and @TNedu for the platform to share.
I once expected students to sit quietly for a 40 min lesson. I got frustrated when they got fidgety. This lead to me yelling.
Then I found myself fidgety after only 20 minutes on a PD Day. Everything changed. I changed from “delivering curriculum” to “discovering curriculum.”

"If you love kids enough, you're going to discipline them. I can't imagine not disciplining kids; it would be then that I don't care." -Summitt
Discipline is a coach holding you to a higher standard than you hold yourself to. It's something your coach is doing for you NOT to you.
