Congratulations to @JThompson_2026 on his commitment to continue his academic and athletic career at @QUHawksBaseball . We are proud and excited for you Jeremy!
HS Strength & Conditioning simply defined - you get out what you put in.
Don’t show up - no improvement
Show up and go through the motions - some improvement
Show up and put in work consistently for years - you’ll unlock physical capabilities you never thought you’d have
Average young athlete: “I need to do new exercises & programs every week.”
What the average young athlete actually needs to do 52 weeks per year:
1. Sprint
2. Jump
3. Lift heavy
4. Do it all in multiple planes
5. Progressively load & ramp intensity
Wash, rinse, repeat.
Outside of every coach’s favorite “odd” exercise here and there, the bulk of your work as an athlete should look pretty simple…sprinting, jumping, choosing an explosive movement (med ball, Olympic variation, plyo), and getting stronger in a few core lifts.
That combination.
After a great visit and conversation with Coach Campbell and Coach Rasheed i am blessed to receive my first division one offer from iowa state university!!! @RhsSpartanfball @ISUMattCampbell @CoachRasheed@TrentSlattenow@DerekHoodjer
